Construction work outside thd hotel made a great deal of noise---- even at night-----unpleasant

Just ok hotel near downtown Charleston.

Undergoing construction so parking is difficult. No small fridge in room, obnoxious "neighbor " room next to us very loud music after 10 pm that you can hear all the way down the hallway. Called front desk, it took three times to get an answers. Was told that they would send someone to check. It took over 1/2 hr and a trip down to the front deck before they got someone to tell them to turn the music off . No apologies given.

The pet odor was pretty strong in the lobby.

Very disappointed in the lack of repairs and the length of time to fix them. On Friday 25 Nov. I arrived, one of two elevators was out of service, by Sunday the second one was out of order. I was on the fifth floor, I was able to walk up and down the stairs but felt that this should have been addressed. Nether was repaired until Tuesday, and even then only one was repaired. When the one was out we had long waits to even get the elevator and the service staff ( they were very nice) had at times to wait for visitors due to the amount of people using the elevator. That made it difficult for everyone. Second was the noise, I was shocked at the amount of noise coming from the parking lot area, not to mention the street noise. I have always enjoyed my stays at Holiday Inns but this was not a favorable one. One last comment, we have stayed at several locations and Ashville was the only one that made us aware of the special program for people that stay with you. I wish someone had made us aware several stays back. Thank you, I will stay at another Holiday Inn in Charleston soon ( probably Christmas ) but not this one.

Not ready for prime time.

Potentially good hotel, but suffering from lack of adequate infrastructure upkeep. Both elevators failed over the weekend and was said to be a recurring problem. Walking up and down 6 flights !!!!!

Nice location

The location is great. Price is a little high for what you get. Definitely an older hotel and the construction in the area made parking difficult.

Clean & comfortable if a little beat up.

The property is a little beat up - it is definitely ready to be refurbished. The room was clean and comfortable. None of the elevator were working which wasn't an issue for me on the 2nd floor. The people on the 8th floor weren't as happy.

We selected this hotel for its pet friendly status. An additional bonus - not too far from the historic areas we wanted to see. Unfortunately a lot of construction going on made parking a challenge, but the staff made up for any trouble. Breakfast area was always well stocked, clean and efficiently arranged.

Hard to find parking

Not close to restaurants!! Not easy to find parking. Nice to have a breakfast included!!! Breakfast stuff not nice at all. Room is too old not really clean. Check in and check out the stuff was nice .

Ok hotel but in the midst of nasty construction ar

Old hotel but renovations are fairly recent. Should give a discount for the horrible construction site on which it stands. Makes access, parking etc. very difficult.
