Only hotel in Charleston with free self parking

Posted Jun 25, 2017
Pros: Free self parking, friendly staff, within walking distance of shopping, eating, and the water.
I've stayed in Charleston before and the King Charles Inn is the best hotel I've stayed at so far. It's clean, elegant, and the staff is super friendly.

Pros: Staff amazing
Location: Location was great. Walking distance to wonderful shops and restaurants
The staff was amazing. The only disappointment was the view from the porch was of their parking lot not the main street

Best place to stay in Charleston

Posted Jun 10, 2017
Pros: Excellent location and friendly staff. Maid service was excellent and the hotel as a whole was very clean
Cons: Nothing, keep it as it is!!
Location: Location was the best. Just minutes from everything. Park the car and head out!!
Without a doubt, the King Charles Inn has the best location for your visit to Charleston. The staff were very helpful in suggestions to eat and visit while there. You are just a few blocks from Market St and King St. Happy hour at 4:00 and cookies at 8:00 were also treats not to be missed.

Great location

Posted Jun 8, 2017
Pros: Location, pool, free parking, pub
Cons: The pub serves breakfast but no other meals. A simple light fare for afternoon/evening would be great.
Location: Fabulous location. Close to the city market, tons of restaurants, historical tours, shopping.
The hotel is in a great location, has free parking, a pool, and a bar. It was lovely. The rooms are small, nothing fancy but the location is perfect. Very nice staff.

King Charles Inn

Posted Jun 6, 2017
Pros: Walking distance from everything. Loved loved the cookies/tea and cheese hour. That hit the spot at the end of the day.
Cons: Could not seem to adjust the temperature in the room.
Location: Walking distance from all major restaurants and activities. Right across the street from the Fig restaurant.
Great l location with parking on the premises. Staff was great and worked to try to get me in a room early.

Our AC unit let out a constant high pitched ringing noise that my girlfriend could hear, so she had to use earplugs to sleep.

great location

great location, walking distance to most sites in Charleston. Freiendly and helpful staff, parking is tight and can be challenging. Breakfast menu was small and a bit overpriced. But I would recommend this hotel to the average traveler.

A 2 star hotel at 4 star price.

Posted May 23, 2017
Considering we paid almost $400/night I had some expectations. I realize it's a smaller boutique hotel, but it was just a step above a comfort inn. Sheets were threadbare, o had to ask housekeeping to come vacuum, mold around the toilet. I was Steph disappointed. Don't know how it has so many positive reviews. The only thing this hotel has going for itself is location, that's it.

Hotel was centrally located

Posted May 21, 2017
The staff was very accommodating. We arrived early so they told us to park our car (free parking included). They then sent me a text when the room was available. Every evening they had warm cookies and tea.
