Nice hotel close to restaurants and shops.Posted Sep 19, 2015
Pros: Lovely room and bed. Roof-top bar, food and small swimming pool.
Cons: It was advertised with "Continental Breakfast". This was one tray of pastries per hotel floor! Coffee and tea went away mid-afternoon - none in room
Location: Dozens of restaurants and shops within walking distance. On the free tram route that goes around Charleston.
Lovely room and bed. Enjoyable roof-top bar with snacks and a small swimming pool. Continental Breakfast was a disaster and should NOT be advertised. Only one tray of pastries per hotel floor! Three bananas and apples, if you were lucky to be there first! Coffee and tea disappeared mid-afternoon, and there was none in the room. This terrible breakfast and lack of coffee and tea ruined our stay in an otherwise beautiful hotel. Hotel is within easy walking distance of dozens of restaurants, a market and other shops. It is also actually on the tram route for free rides around Charleston.

Nice hotel, Way over priced.Posted Aug 17, 2015
Pros: Room was clean and housekeeping staff did an excellent job.
We chose this hotel from web site, we wanted a nice hotel in the old part of Charleston for our first visit there and this one looked good. The hotel was nice but way over priced. Atmosphere was VERY stuffy and other guests were not very friendly. Hotel staff did their job well but didnt seem to care if guests liked it or not. Hotel was clean and housekeeping did a good job. Hotel has a rooftop pool but its very small and not very inviting to swim in due to it being surrounded by bar guests. Hotels location was ok but any other hotel would have been just as good since there was nothing close to hotel that you couldnt have gotten to from anywhere in the city just as easy. Market was next door but it was not worth the price of hotel to be next to. We had an ok time but would not go back to this hotel or the Charleston, we have been to many nice places.

Charm of Charleston!Posted Jul 28, 2015
Settled in the middle of this beautiful city, the Southern hospitality was evident in the people and the service and environment lived up to my expectations and beyond. From the rooftop bar to the wonderful, most comfortable bed......top rated! I travel globally from China to Europe to Brazil and this easily ranked in my top picks around the world! As a native South Carolinian - makes me proud knowing your hotel can really help drive wonderful experiences for visitors to our state. Thank you!

Attractive hotel with rooftop patio and poolPosted Jul 18, 2015
Cons: The layout of the entrance is a bit cramped beween the bar and restaurant. I would have liked more of a true lobby space to mingle or meet friends.
Having stayed in Charleston many times before, we were looking for a hotel that offered high end amenities, a pool, and was situated close to shopping and restaurants. The Market Pavilion delivered all of this and more. Their concierge couldn't have been more helpful. Plus, they did their best to accomodate our need for an early check-in and late check-out. We would stay their again.
