In town for the death of a family memberPosted Nov 7, 2015
We found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. Since we were not sure how many nights we would need, they allowed us to book a block of nights and then pay for only what we used. We were upgraded to a suite with lots of space for no extra charge. The dining area allowed us to meet with other family members for breakfast in a clean and pleasant dining area. Complimentary coffee was available throughout the day/evening. During our stay I accidentally left my purse in the dining area. I received a call from the front desk that it had been found by cleaning staff and turned in at the front desk for my pickup. It was returned quickly and fully intact. One minor maintenance issue was repaired promptly upon our reporting of the matter. And we were deeply touched to find a sympathy card from the staff slid under our door upon my brother's passing. Could not have been more pleased with the accommodations and treatment we received at this motel. Kudos to the staff of this Quality Inn!

ExcellentPosted Oct 26, 2015
Pros: Everything was very enjoyable but especially the breakfast staff!
Location: Close to Charleston. Just a short drive.
I wish I could have stayed longer. Overnight stay on business with the added feature of family on the trip.

Easy drive to CharlestonPosted Oct 2, 2015
Older hotel but good price for a few nights. Be aware of the smell because it's prone to mold. It's on the harbor and Charleston is humid so it's probably difficult to avoid. Grounds were nice and they kept the hotel clean. Easy to drive to Charleston. 5 minutes over the bridge.

Great location and great staffPosted Sep 28, 2015
Pros: The staff was super friendly. Anytime I passed an employee they spoke and were friendly and helpful. The breakfast ladies were a true pleasure!
Cons: The air conditioning system
The staff make this hotel worth the stay. The breakfast staff was so pleasant and personable. They did everything they could to make breakfast pleasant - above and beyond! The hotel was very clean but the air conditioner in our room made it smell very musty. I mentioned it to a gentleman cleaning a nearby room and he immediately came and sprayed air freshener. That helped but by the third day, the musty smell had returned.

Not so QUALITYPosted Sep 28, 2015
Pros: Good staff, breakfast and location.
Cons: Remodel guestrooms; treat hotel for mold.
Location: Great location! Easy to get to downtown Charleston; Mt. Pleasant has great restaurants.
Really disappointing. As soon as we walked into the lobby, the smell of mold and/or dampness was overwhelming. While we were checking in, the person who had checked in before us checked out (after going to his room) because he "couldn't breathe." It took us 5 visits to different rooms to finally find one that didn't smell. Furniture and bedspread, bathroom appliances, etc., were all old and icky. HOWEVER, the staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was good, and location was great. If we came again, we would stay somewhere else in the area.

Hotel appears to be weathered and worn over time and not maintained to current standards.
