Look, as far as generic hotels go, it's alright.

Pros: Very convenient to downtown. Right turns into and out of the hotel were easy. Tell other guests to stop trying to make lefts and block the drive...
Cons: Pre-insect planning (exterminator services), hand out swiffer duster, clean corners of shower
The staff was friendly and accommodating. They were exactly what I expected. The desk clerk was sweet upon check in and very apologetic when she had to switch my room due to the silverfish in the bed. If you don't know what one is, Google it. I'm a big guy (over 6'-0") and the bathroom was cramped. The shower in reality wasn't too small but the design of it made it feel claustrophobic and small. Half the shower is behind a wall and visually doesn't exist. The shower hit me in the shoulder so I had to stoop to wash my hair. Now that I'm looking down I can see the corner of the shower by the door that never gets cleaned. And the dust...I haven't seen that much dust on a fire sprinkler head outside of an industrial setting. Admittedly it went downhill after the bug. As soon as I saw that, it was over. The bug could have made it in anywhere. At these rates, it simply isn't acceptable.

Nice hotel at a reasonable rate

Pros: The room was very clean, the staff courteous and helpful. Nice size room with comfortable beds. The hot breakfast was good.
Location: It is located only 15 minutes to downtown Charleston. Very easy to get to.
This was actually the second hotel that we stayed in in Charleston. The first night we stayed at a motel in North Charleston and I did not feel safe in the area. The second night we cancelled that motel and for only $20 more stayed at the Sleep Inn. Glad we did. Hotel was so much nicer and the room was more spacious with a refrigerator, microwave and hair dryer. Located in a much safer neighborhood. It also provided a nice hot breakfast which offset the $20 price difference.

Pros: the staff was helpful and very welcoming as well as personable. the breakfast staff kept food coming and hot and kept the area very clean and tidy.
good experience for our group with hotel close to the city, restaurants and attlractions

Good deal for the price

Pros: Great breakfast for free
Cons: Construction next door, more thorough cleaning
Location: Within minutes of fantastic restaurants and downtown Charleston
Great breakfast, room was slightly uncomfortable and construction going on next door woke us up. Otherwise, can't beat the price. About 15 minutes or less to downtown Charleston.

Convenient location, easy access to airport.

Although this hotel was pricer than others in the same area, it was worth it. I enjoyed that they offer real breakfast as opposed to continental other hotels offer. Staff friendly and courteous.

Good location and great price

Close to cruise port, took us 10-15 mins to get to the parking garage right by waterfront. Had good room on 2nd floor. 210. No view but we weren't expecting a view. Hotel grounds are nicely landscaped and breakfast was good. The gals at the front desk were fantastic! Beds were comfy and pillows were great. Would recommend!

Never staying here again

Two major problems turned this place from a 4 star to a 1 star review. First the Wi-Fi died the second day here. 4 more days later and still no Wi-Fi. They even had the audacity to give me their providers tech support number because "they tried to get it back" but maybe I would have better luck. Problem number two: The knob on the in-room AC/Heater was broken. I had to mess with it a lot just to get it to come on, and again just to turn it off. This is not the quality I expect from a Choice Hotel.
