I stayed at Wingate the weekend of March 8th. Front Desk Staff was beyond rude and insulting with no regard to customer service at all.
Upon arrival on Saturday, told Front Desk Staff my room key was left at the front desk by my boyfriend who had to checkin the night prior. Without even looking, she said no key was left and was immediately dismissive. Tried reasoning with her by showing her receipts that I booked and paid the room reservation and I had both my name and boyfriends name on the reservation, but his name was listed so he could check-in the day prior without me. She remained dismissive suggesting my name wasn’t on the reservation and she wouldn’t look for or provide me my room key.
After asking for her Manager and having my boyfriend talk to her on the phone, she then looked and found that my key was left after all. Her tone and attitude softened completely and she was apologetic, but I feel disappointed that she profiled me from the onset. Does not matter that I (not my boyfriend) was the actual customer - she should have listened to reason and made more of an effort to amicably resolve the issue.
Tried reaching out to Wingate Mgmt to resolve and did not receive a response.
