Air conditioning not working in most rooms. Staff was not too concerned about my issues with the room.

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We are under renovations from Hurricane Irma who took most of our AC units. Your comments have been shared with our staff!

Nice Hotel

Posted Apr 8, 2018
This hotel is one I recommend! Located in a nice area. Security is monitoring the premises all day allowing you to sleep with comfort. Private parking lot so don’t worry about parking on the street. WiFi worked great! Updated flat screen TVs and the A/C worked as well. Breakfast was skimp and could be better... but overall one of the better hotels in St.Thomas.

Good location, but hotel in disrepair

Posted Apr 3, 2018
Seems to have been a nice hotel in the past as it has a nice pool and cute shops surrounding the center atrium. However, it is still recovering from Hurricane Irma. The front entrance was blocked off and none of the stores were in operation. There is a cute bar in the center but it was only open for about an hour on only 1 of our 2 night stay. Our room smelled musty and there was black mold on the ceiling. There were 2 fans in the room so the first night was miserable sleeping. We were able to switch to another room for the 2nd night that had a working air conditioner. The front desk staff was polite but not overly friendly and we were chastised for asking to switch rooms. I would advise asking to look around before committing to a stay.

Awful

Posted Mar 29, 2018
Checked in and found out there was no air conditioning, no towels in our room after four requests, two queen beds with one that had a big dip in the middle, our room was never made up either days, cockroaches . It was a nightmare and complained to staff and no help. I finally called the head manager and she gave me $30 A whopping $30 discount. I would never recommend this hotel!!

Sorry for your inconveniences we are in the process of renovations starting April 3. The hotel went through a Cat 5 Hurricane we stayed open because if we did not there would be no Relief workers. Come back in January of 2019 it will be a BRAND NEW HOTEL

Overnight before a boat trip

Posted Dec 14, 2017 on Hotels
The hotel has done a pretty good job recovering from the storms. My check in was quick and easy. As for my room it was as requested and I was lucky enough to get a room with AC. It worked great! Had a very nice view of the harbor. Over all it was a great place to stay before we left for a week long boat trip in the BVI.

very nice hotel

Pros: everything except didn't know dinning room was only open for breakfast
Cons: right now they are remodeling due to Irma
Location: great loc. right down town close to everything
hotel old but nice staff was very friendly was there only there before Irma hit the Island hotel with stood impact very well. they had 2 generators so we had power though out except for a few hours every other day while they refueled. A lot of the staff stayed and helped out the whole time we were there until we left on ship.

This was my third stay at Windward Passage. I selected it for the great view and walking distance to good restaurants and shopping. Due to hurricane in Houston my flight was canceled which delayed my arrival by one day. I called the previous day and told them I would be a day late and I wasn't looking for a refund for the night I missed but wanted them to hold my reservation for the remaining three days. However when I arrived I was reminded I wouldn't get a refund and my reservation was canceled. Some how the person I had talked to on the phone supposedly didn't notify anyone so I had to pay for the remaining three days and was told a refund had been sent back to Hotels.com and they would send me my refund which I am still waiting for. The room itself was decent and they have started to update the rooms and improve the overall maintenance.

Not bad

Wasn't bad for the price and central location close to ferry terminal and downtown shopping
