Close to our conference

Pros: Kitchenette and laundry facilities
Cons: The cleanliness needs a serious upgrade. I add said breakfast was offered not a coffee bar. This was sorely lacking.
We picked this Hotel because the rate seemed reasonable and was close to our conference. There was only one clerk available and she had to personally go back and check out each room before issuing key cards. She was very friendly and apologetic for the long wait. At first look the room seemed fine. However we found used kleenex under the covers and dingy smudged wash clothes and hand towels. The water out of the bathtub's tap ran black with black chunks. We stripped the bed and slept on towels I had in the trunk that I take to the gym. No disposable cups, ice bucket, coffee maker or even a trash can. If we hadn't arrived totally exhausted and would have had to wait 3 to 5 days for a refund we would have gone someplace else.

Excellent service

The customer service was excellent, Joanna the front desk clerk gave me very good service, I was please with my stay, the next time I come to Charlotte I will be staying there again also the location was easy to find.

TERRIBLE

DESPITE THE FACT WE HAD A CONFIRMATION NUMBER FOR 3 DOUBLE ROOMS WE WERE DENIED SERVICE. THEY CLAIM THERE WERE NO ROOMS AVAILABLE AND THAT THE MONEY HAD BEEN REFUNDED. LIES AFTER LIES... EXPEDIA'S WEBSITE SHOWED AVAILABILITY AND, SINCE WE WERE ALREADY AT THE HOTEL AFTER THEY CANCELLED, WE WERE FORCED TO BOOK THREE MORE ROOMS. WE ASK THE FRONT DESK PERSON HOW COME WE THEY HAD AVAILABILTY FOR THE NEW ROOMS WHEN OUR OTHER CONFIRMATION HAD BEEN DENIED BUT, WE WERE TOLD LIES ONCE MORE. AT THE END OF THE DAY THEY BOOKED US INTO A ROOM THAT WAS BEING RE-MODEL AND IT WAS ABSOLUTELY IN THE WORST OF CONDITIONS. TERRIBLE SERVICE FROM MANAGEMENT AND EXPEDIA...

Not a good experience.

Cons: everything
I prepaid for our room with 2 double beds. WHen I arrived at approx. 1000p, there was no one at the front desk. THere was a note that stated to call a number. I did. WE waited approx.. 20 minutes to start check in process. THe lady was nice and apologetic. SHe then stated that we could not get the room we had already paid for. SHe said she had no rooms with 2 beds. SHe offered to go to a sister hotel but when she called them they did not have anything with double beds. We had to choose a room with 1 queen bed to share for me an my children. Once to room, I was disap[pointed that it smelled like smoke even though it was a smoke free room. ALso, there were ni items like toothpaste, shampo0, etc. A very disappointing experience.

Peace and quiet

I really enjoyed our little getaway place every time we come the staff is so friendly!! I’m ready for another getaway now as I speak!!

At least the desk clerk was nice

The first problem was that my key card would not open the door. The clerk asked me to meet him back at my room. He played around with the card doing things like pulling it in an out a differing speeds, finally kicking the door while doing so do finally open it. There were no glasses/paper/plastic cup in the room. There was hot water at night but after running the but for about 10 minutes I still had no even warmish water. Pay $10 more for hotels to each side is recommended.

Unprofessional and ghetto

I stayed here a few years ago and it was a decent place. Not so much now. Ghetto and unprofessional staff. Same problem appears over and over. Stop apologizing and fix the problems...
