Not recommended to stay at

Pros: The employees were pleasant.
Cons: See above experience.
Location: Southbound Restaurant was near the hotel and the food there was excellent!
We immediately reported that our security latch on our door was broken and requested it be fixed. It never was. There were large stains on the carpet and on the sofa cushion. Our bathroom door would not close. The buttons on our phone to call the front desk, room service, etc. did not work. We were told to call the "operator" for these services. We ordered room service this way and the "operator" forgot to tell the kitchen. It took almost 2 hours to get our food. On our last day the hotel decided to upgrade their door card entry. We stopped at the front desk to obtain our new cards and when we entered our room, there were big chunks of splintered wood and saw dust from drilling the door. No one bothered to clean up the mess. The hot tub was broken the entire 5 days that we stayed at the hotel. All of this was reported to the manager when we requested he come to our room after we came back to the hotel and found the debris/splintered wood from the door all over the floor. He was apologetic and nice and offered a free meal. Not nearly enough in our eyes. This was not a cheap hotel. I would not stay there again.

Upon arrival we were told there was no available parking for guests due to an event, and hotel staff told us to park elsewhere at our own risk and come back and move our car after 11:30pm, room was dirty and gross, sink in the bathroom backed up and dirty water came up and out of the drain when the next door room shower was on (we could hear it through the wall and sink started to fill with dirty water). When we dialed the front desk from the hotel phone, it either gave a busy signal or rang another guest room. Overall gross experience and will never be back.

Cons: staff and bar/rest stay open longer on weekend
desk clerk wouldn't look my rewards number. arrived at midnight on friday from a flight was hoping for something to eat, drink and on a friday night, bar had just closed. staff offered nothing

Kinda a dump

The hotel was pretty dated and the “free shuttle” that was one of the features that caused me to go there was not available when I arrived.

Kind people and great maintancace. We had a leak in our bathroom and they came to fix it in less than 5 minutes.

Hot Rooms

I checked out of my initial room within 5 minutes of arrival given that the room was sweltering hot. I assumed the thermostat was broken. Assigned a new room, but same situation existed. Terribly uncomfortable for two hours until room began to cool down - I passed the time in the lobby! Housekeeping needs to clean room and leave AC on and temperature low enough so that the room is comfortable upon arrival of the new guest in mid August! First impressions are lasting impressions.
