Very pleasant surprise. Great value.

Pros: Lobby area, food area, room was well designed, clean, comfortable!
Cons: Could use an extra chair in the room.
Great check in, inviting lobby/bar/games area with outdoor patio. Room was bright cheery design.

Very nice modern hotel.

Pros: Beds and cooked to order breakfast
Cons: More of a seating area in the room to eat at.
Location: It's in Ballantyne so there are plenty of restaurants and shopping close by.
This hotel is extremely modern and great atmosphere for a younger crowd. I happened to be with my much older aunt so it wasn't quite the right fit for her but very nice, none the less. The best thing about the room were the beds. So comfortable!! Also, they have a chef in the morning cook to order what you want off the menu. Very good breakfast!

Pros: I love that it was very dog friendly! At checkin, they offered treats for our pups, and there was a large pet relief area outside.
We enjoyed our stay very much. Staff was very friendly. Love Aloft hotels.

A cheaper alternative to Ballantyne Resort

The hotel is located on the backside of the Ballantye resort golf course. It is convenient if you are staying in the Ballantyne area of Charlotte. We stayed for New Years Eve, so we wouldn't have to drive, even though we live about 5 miles away. The hotel provided us with a shuttel to Ballantyne Village for our New Year's Eve. The hotel rooms are very comfortable, and I like the room set-up with the beds located on the other side of the wall from the bathroom area. This allowed the girls to get ready, while the guys watched the football game. My only complaint is that bar didn't open until 5pm and closes at midnight, even on Saturday and especially on New Year's eve???

Not bad but needs Improvement

I will start by saying that this is the second time I stay at the exact same location; my first time (about a month prior to this visit) was amazing, the service was fast, the staff were super nice, and the room was great. The second time however, we weren't very satisfied, for three main: 1) When we checked in, we asked for an extra chair since we needed to work a little, but they never brought a chair to the room 2) We suspect that the shower was broken (another possibility is that it was very hard to operate since we were in an accessible room), the water starts as hot then it automatically goes cold 3) When we checked out, they asked us about our experience and I told them about the shower situation. I had assumed that the staff should have the basic understanding that if someone pays for a supposedly "decent" hotel such as Aloft, they would at least expect to be able to take a nice shower without problems; although we did not ask for it, I personally expected to get some sort of compensation (whether that is a discount on next visit or a refund) All in all, we won't be returning to this hotel

Modern - could be perfect with attention!

Pros: Pretty much everything
Cons: Microwaves in the rooms without having to request. Not the end of the world but a big deal.
Location: It's in a very clean and corporate area. A field across the street that people take their dogs to play - etc. Food close. Very nice.
The ONLY complaint I have is sort of on my own shoulders - realized at like 11 pm there is no microwave in the room unless you request one. The staff is over the moon friendly. The hotel is modern, clean, and SO updated. You have to put your room key in a slot in your room to turn on the power, there's a safe, and beautiful big windows. HOWEVER - if you are traveling with someone that you still require privacy around... be sure to mention that to them. Our room had a glass window for one shower wall that you could see the person take the shower on the other side in the room. It didn't bother me because it was my boyfriend - but if you're traveling with your dad it may be a little weird. Beautiful tho! and can't wait to stay again!
