Noisy, bad location

Cons: Shut it down and move it somewhere else
Location: Centrally located in Uptown Charlotte. Tons to do. A lot in walking distance or very shot cab ride.
I never review anything but I had to do this one. It's located in a fairly central location but the hotel is crammed on top of a shopping/party bar complex and very hard to find. The garage is 120 degrees hot and nasty underground and charges $20/day. Tight spaces. The complex itself is terrible. Homeless people lay on the steps sleeping. Seems to be a huge issue. We even saw a guy selling weed and was run off by the cops. All the restaurants/bars/clubs are for 20 something partyers. It was really bad. I'm a pretty easygoing person but this was even beyond my tolerance. The hotel itself, once inside, is clean and nice. A bit simple and stripped down but industrial and fine. The bed was hard as a rock. The noise was outrageous! Sirens, thumping music all night and we were on the 7th floor! They had earplugs in the room! Really??? Bottom line. Staying at an Aloft in a nice area would be OK but don't come here unless you are 22 and want to party and then pass out in your room. Spend $30 more and go somewhere else.

Nice downtown location, great staff...friendly, helpful, etc. Room was fairly quiet given all the construction. I'd stay there anytime we came to Charlotte, if the price remained affordable.

Rude Staff

Location: tons of restaurants and bars
We had the pleasure of an annoyed front desk staff member upon our arrival, a rude cleaning lady, valet parking that sat on the phone all morning and NEVER answered when we called because they were on their headphones.. so everyone who had to pick up their car in the morning had to wait the extra 10-15 minutes it took to get the car once downstairs, and finally, the rooms really aren't up to date. Location was incredible and there was literally ONE front desk staff member who seemed nice and like she actually knew what she was doing (young, brunette girl).

Very convenient

Euro-style rooms and young, hip vibe. You worry when you see the hallways to the rooms (exposed plumbing, questionable finishes - but it is a loft theme), but the rooms are very well appointed. The hotel is very convenient, literally a few steps away from the main Charlotte nightlife and the business district. Two negatives, however. You have to pay for public parking - $23 for my overnight stay - and there is no road signage on E. Trade Street, resulting in a couple of driving loops before I stopped by the Ritz Carlton to ask where the hotel was - literally across the street.

Nice girls getaway

Hotel was decent. Location was perfect for we were in town for a girls weekend and had everything we needed all in one location. Cleanliness of the hotel could have been better, but for the price, no complaints! This will be our go to hotel when we're in town looking for the convenience of staying in uptown charlotte.

enjoyed it only problems was getting in to the lobby to check in and the comfort of the bed. other then that loved it...

We are very sorry you had any issues at all, but we are working to remedy one of them! We will be getting new mattresses as part of our remodel happening at the end of this year. Some come back and test them out for us when we are all done!
