Good place to stay. Only cons: thin walls, could hear our neighbors at midnight. Also when you turn the TV on it says connect to our WiFi to cast. I spent forever trying to do so and also paid to upgrade the internet. When I finally called downstairs the man said oh we haven’t had casting since I started here. Upset I wasted so much of my time.

Only here for one night travelling on business. Room was clean and comfortable and the staff serving the event in the ballroom were friendly and efficient. Front desk staff for check in was very nice.

Excellent location at city center. Valet parking is the practical parking option. Beautiful views of the city lights and a convenient walk to the theatre. My only suggestion would be that I miss bathroom doors. The glass sliding doors are pretty, but afford little to no privacy.

We chose this because it’s an easy walk to the Spectrum Center and our car could be valeted for easy parking. The area is safe, but we were still approached by a couple of beggars asking for money. I think that’s in any city. The hotel was clean and staff was friendly.

This is very clearly an older building just based on its architecture, but it has also clearly been remodeled into a very nice place. Room smelled and looked clean. The lobby was very nice and inviting. Check in took less than 2 minutes. Would definitely stay again.

Let us check in 4 hours early. The room had a dirty sink and open drinks in frig. Requested new room was very apologetic and immed. gave new room plus several spiffs. This was a very busy weekend (ACC football championship) , I understand this could happen. Correcting issues is the most important, they are #1 on my list !!!

Pros: The hotel is in an outstanding location for people wanting to be in the heart of Uptown Charlotte! Perfect for walking the entire Uptown area (which we did). It was our first time in Charlotte, and we were apartment hunting with our son. Beautiful city, highly walkable, and felt very safe. The public areas of the hotel are beautiful, classy, and clean. The bar was a wonderful end to a busy day, and the bartender was warm and welcoming. Cons: Major con...Bathroom door in the room was a sliding, frosted-glass door (like a "barn door"); therefore, there was no privacy in the loo! I don't know of many people who are comfortable using the toilet with no privacy. Very poor idea! Also, the wastebaskets, etc. in the room have all seen better days...chipped, worn. I know we live in an age of "recycle reuse...", but waste baskets should be lined with plastic, not simply emptied. I highly doubt they sanitize them after emptying. Toilets are original, not seat height. Carpets are worn in the hallways. The rooms and hallways are fine, but they need some care. Also, be advised internet is not included with your room; so be prepared to pay $10 per day (rip-off) or go across the street to Starbucks to use your computer. Overall, I would stay here again due to the convenience, safety, and location.
