We booked the hotel using hotels.com at 11pm. At 1am we arrived to the hotel with two very tired young children. We get in there and are told they see our reservation but need a minute to check on things. Fifteen minutes later we are told that while they have two available rooms, neither of them were cleaned SO WE HAVE NO WHERE TO STAY. We had to call 6 different hotels and 90 minutes later we finally got our young children to bed at 2:30 in the morning. I truly cannot believe hotels.com would work with such despicable hotels. And for the record, we were supposed to be staying at the most expensive, highest rated hotel in Rock Hill, SC.
When I arrived at hotel I was given a room that had not been cleaned. I had to wait another hour to get a clean room. When I got to that room, the tv didn’t work. I tried to call the front desk about it and the phone didn’t work. On my way to the lobby to speak with someone, an employee saw me and asked if everything was okay. I told her the tv wasn’t working and she said she would send someone up, no one ever came. The hotel was also booked to capacity and only one elevator was working. Being on the 5th floor, at one point I waited over 10 minutes to catch the elevator down.
Great experience. It was close to several restaurants, coffee shops and shopping. The pool was nice and clean. My daughter wanted to live in there. The room was just as advertised. The breakfast was exactly what I’d expect of a free hotel breakfast. Everything was smooth and wonderful. Will definitely stay again.
