Not bad for a 2 day trip..
Comfy bed for two nights. Bathroom was a bit small but doable. The free breakfast could be a bit better even though they dont have a restaurant.

Sleep Out at the Sleep Inn
The window in room 413 would not shut. From there we could hear Chic-fil-a taking orders in the drive thru. The accommodating front desk gave us a new room...515. Again, the window would not shut. So we switched gears and booked a room at the nearby and much cleaner and nicer with shutting windows Comfort Inn. Hopefully we can get a refund from Hotels.com.

I would rate this is as one of the worst stays ever. The property itself looks fine, it was clean and up to date. However, the staff (with the exception of one) was horrible. At check in, the woman glanced at me standing there and ignored me for a bit before finally asking how she could help me, without even looking up or in my direction. The check in process was extremely tense. She fussed at me for not letting them know I had dogs. I explained that Expedia doesn't ask you that when you make the reservation, but the hotel was listed as pet friendly. She spoke to me using as few words as possible, was curt in her communication to the point of being rude. We leave for our event around 5:30 and returned to the hotel about 9:30. It was not a late return. Everything was fine, we thought, until we had to take our elderly dog out to use the bathroom around 4:30am. At that point, some woman in jeans and a t-shirt came towards us and loudly said from down the hall, that there were complaints about our dogs barking and that we weren't supposed to leave them alone in the room. If that was the case, why would you ever book a room? I would just stay home. There is no rule on their list about leaving dogs alone in the room that I had been told. We packed our stuff and were out the door by 5am. This was a horrible stay.

The breakfast did not match the website offering. Food ran out before breakfast time was up. It was so crowded you couldn't get between tables. When we checked in at 4pm, almost the entire hall had the doors open with dirty linens stacked outside the doors. It was creepy. The room was nice and was clean. But hotel was noisy. Floor shook. Felt uncomfortable in parking lot.

Bathroom door was broken and wouldn’t slide. Toilet was not cleaned. Rest of the room was clean but I think they forgot that one thing. Breakfast area had too many tables close to the food, making it difficult to pass through the line for food. Staff were very polite.

We are so sorry to hear that your bathroom door was broken when you arrived. We typically have clear lines of communication between the departments. Since you also tell me that the toilet was dirty then that leads me to believe that maybe this was accidentally forgotten by our housekeeping department. I feel if that area would have gotten done then it would have been reported to maintenance. I hope that the rest of your trip was to your liking.

It was a good price for the area and convenient to PNC Pavilion, The room was small but fine for us as we were just using it for sleeping after a concert, The walls were thin enough that we could here people in the next room having sex, The bed sheets seem clean however the shower was not. There was literally soap wrapper paper laying in and around the drain, The bed was very comfortable!

Short Term Stay
Greeted in the parking lot by truckloads of immigrant workers then greeted inside by a strange man trying to hug me. Hotel clerk was a bit rude over my Service Animals and hotel requires a $250 refundable deposit for every check-in refunded in 10 days. The room I booked and paid for was not available. Noisey hotel with staff chattering on and loads of laundry carts going all day. Dog poop all over grassy areas and backdoor was broken so anyone could wander into the hotel. I personally witnessed a housekeeper dump an entire bucket of cleaner outside the walkway. The upside: The breakfast attendant was the nicest personable person and kept things well stocked. The area is easy access to Charlotte and directly across from the Police Station.

We contract with several construction companies in the area. So the truckloads of immigrants are hard workers who stay here each week with no issues for work. We require a incidental deposit to ensure that damage does not occur to the property. I apologize that you were so uncomfortable during your stay and I hope that you found better accommodations.
