You get what you pay for. Cheap place and it shows. Uncomfortable mattress, I got checked in by a security guard that took 30 minutes to check me in, but for $65 a night on the southside of Charlotte it was OK

Stayed in better hotels in the slums of Africa.Posted Jun 24, 2015 on Hotels
After driving 16 hours to pick up my children for the summer, I arrived at the hotel. There were several cop cars out front, with a couple crack head looking fellows. I can look past that, stuff happens. Initially I booked a room with 1 queen bed, things changed and I got my kids early, so I asked for 2 double beds. Was charged $18 more. Not too big of a deal in my mind at the time. While walking to the room, my son asked whats that smell? Oh it's just marijuana smoke.. Still, not a big deal.. Yet. Non-smoking room smelled like a 70 year old smoker lived in there for the last 50 years smoking with the windows shut. The floor felt like it had been mopped with maple syrup. It was also about 90 degrees in the room. It took most of the night to cool down. Don't be fooled by the coffee pot in the room.. You are required to purchase it from the office. No breakfast, unless you also buy that. For $88 I expected more. Perfect place to bring blow and hookers.. Other than that, wouldn't recommend it.

"Poorly managed." Don’t Stay!Posted May 28, 2015 on Hotels
Room is full of smoking smell. Even we requested for cleaning staff won't agreed to do it for us. People smoke on the balcony right outside the intake for the AC unit. The smoking and non-smoking rooms are interspersed. The entire place reeks of smoke. Rooms are somewhat shabby and maintenance of the rooms appears to be done to a lower level than you might expect in a hotel. The carpet in the rooms is very dirty. If you put clean socks on, the bottom of your socks will turn brown after a short time. The grout on the tile bathroom floors is almost black too. This is a 3 story building, yet there is only one ice machine on the first floor. No hair dryer. No Breakfast. There is a coffee machine in the room, but no coffee packets.

Staff very helpful and friendly. BUT. ragged towels, bad mattress, broken closet door knob, no sort of shelf or cabinet in bath and burned out light.
