Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
I like the fact that the property was nice but the gardens are not in the winter, but maybe nice in the spring/summer! The breakfast was really good! The majority of the staff was nice except for this one lady. And the only real issue I had was the door knob falling off. So I did ask for a discount. I will check tomorrow to see if they applied it. Because they never fixed it.
Great historic place with beautiful grounds and a friendly staff. The area surroundinh is incredible as well. We were in a third floor room so the temp was a bit warm til we realized we could open the windows. The only other issue was the gym was just a collection of free weights and an eliptical. Minor quibble in the grand scheme, great place
The mansion was full of history and we were able to walk the grounds for over an hour or two. The staff were very kind and helpful. And the breakfast was very nice (food and ambiance).
An amazing building and wonderful staff. The property is located in an exclusive neighborhood just south of uptown Charlotte. It is the epitome of beauty and days gone by. Wonderful staff and a great breakfast. The rooms are typical of an older building. The bathrooms could use a little updating. Our favorite place to stay in Charlotte!
