Hotel was very nice, really impressed with everything especially the vicinity, the staff on reception were very helpful and customer focussed, the staff in the adjoining bar - Van Goughs were very attentive and polite at all times. the room was cleaned daily to a high standard, could not fault it

City hotel

Very convenient for stations, but rooms in "boarding house" part of hotel are very close to railway line so quite noisy. Lots of good restaurants nearby.

Great modern hotel in really nice location

Posted Apr 11, 2017
Pros: Hotel in a lovely location. It's modern, clean, well equipped with helpful staff. Went for great breakfast option which totally set us up for the day.
Cons: No frills but everything you need.
Location: Close to main street with shopping, sightseeing and good for bus tour and train station. Good selection of eateries and fantastic bookshop on doorstep
Our first time visiting Berlin and we had a brilliant time. Very helpful man at airport sorted us out for train ticket to hotel area which was very straightforward and so cheap ! Hotel was great and in a good spot for trains, local bars, restaurants, shopping and generally getting about. We did bus tour to get out bearings which was great and hopped on and off at popular places. Also tried train and tube which is all done through ticket machines - took a few goes but once mastered very easy. People were generally very nice and helpful. Berlin is a beautiful city with incredible history, architecture, parks and museums and we only scratched the surface - hopefully we will re visit soon.

Really good hotel in a great location, just by Savignyplatz. Quiet street despite being near K'damm. I was a solo traveler and room was perfect size, well designed and big enough for two. Service was excellent. Breakfast a bit steep at €22....I'd have to eat a bucket load to make it worthwhile! So many local bakeries do great coffee and breakfast.

Convenient, Pleasant Stay in Heart of Berlin

Posted Dec 20, 2016 on Hotels
The NH Berlin Kurfürstendamm was the perfect place to stay for a few nights. Although it is a few hundred feet from one of Berlin’s major thoroughfares, the immediate street is quiet and uncongested. Its place on Grolmanstraße is ideal. The street is commercial and residential, with shops, restaurants and bars occupying much of the ground floor. Trees line the street and sidewalks are ample. Just a short distance away is Savignyplatz with an unusually high density of decent Italian restaurants, and one of the world’s best known art and architecture bookstores, Bücherbogen. The front desk staff were very welcoming. They spoke perfect English, and seemed genuinely interested in their guests’ enjoyment of their stay. Breakfast was very good, with a full selection of breads, charcuterie, fruits, and other breakfast dishes. Items were replenished regularly and the staff was on top of greeting guests with coffee and order-taking. Overall, the quality of the breakfast, including service, was relaxing, and most enjoyable. The guest bedrooms and bathrooms were well appointed, with furnishings and accessories in good condition, clean, and well presented. The rooms were also of a decent size––no sense of being cramped in a typical “infill” European hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel for business travelers or vacationing couples. It represents good value, for a safe, central, professionally managed, and well-cared-for stay.
