Cosy, atmospheric - but a bit cramped!Posted Nov 18, 2017
I love this whole hotel concept. Fun from the minute you enter, with really lovely staff. Just a bit impractical on a few fronts once you get to your room. No functional desk or chair. Hanging space for clothes only as deep as a jacket (so useless for dresses or trousers). Light switches not working, so unscrewing light bulbs the only option to turn lights off. Just a few tweaks and this hotel could really combine form and function well

Modern and very cool hotelPosted Nov 13, 2017
Pros: Design, cleanliness, staff, location, food, Wi-Fi.
Cons: No cons :)
Location: Right next to Savignyplatz S-Bahn station, easy to get pretty much anywhere in the city from there.
The hotel is right next to the Savignyplatz S-Bahn station, great station for getting anywhere in the city. The reception and restaurant has a great modern styling and the staff greeted us with a choice of prosecco or wine. Staff was very kind and helpful. Our room was beautiful; it had a great vintage/antique combined with modern style. Mini bar is very well stocked. Bathroom was squeaky clean. Bed was very comfortable and clean. High speed Wi-Fi was provided. The breakfast buffet (not included in our room price) had a big selection of fruit, bread, cereal, granola, yogurt, ham, salami, cheese and juices. The Butcher restaurant has amazing burgers and a la carte breakfast options. Great experience and would definitely stay again!

Cool HotelPosted Sep 5, 2017
A great modernistic hotel with a relaxed feel. Nice food from The Butcher restaurant but be sure you know what you are ordering. Expensive breakfast buffet if you want to pay for it. We loved the bath tub in the room.

Loved everything about it. Got a reduced rate through hotels.com and it was one of e best hotel experiences I have had. The area is nice and right near a S Bahn station that goes right to the main train station. The restaurant downstairs is priced similarly to nearby restaurants (still a bit pricey) and has good food. The decor is really cool. Very comfortable room.

I cannot recommend this highly enough. The hotel is in a fantastic location with restaurants, coffee shops and a small neighborhood park around the corner. The hotel common rooms were interesting and welcoming. Our room was gorgeous with a comfortable bed and powerful shower. Don't forget to order a burger at The Butcher - delish! I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Berlin.

Great location, a bit noisyPosted Jul 17, 2017
Pros: Great location, nice staff, quirky furnishings in room.
Cons: The rooms, or at least mine, was VERY small, about the size of a New York hotel room. Also Kantstrasse is busy, and one can hear the S-Bahn at night.
Location: Great restaurants in Savignyplatz, great bookstores in Knesebeckstrasse. Very close to the Savignyplatz S-bahn stop.
This is a fun little boutique hotel, with a great location and very friendly staff.

Great location in BerlinPosted Jul 7, 2017
Pros: Its location
Cons: Lighting, at least better lighting for the bedsides
Location: The hotel is one block away from the S train station, which goes directly to important sites within the city or can connect to various U bahn stops.
The best aspect of the hotel is its location. There are wonderful restaurants in the neighborhood. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The room, although clean and quiet, was small and crowded by the furniture, and dark with bad lighting (awful bedside lights). One really could just walk from the door to the bed and bathroom, which made the room seem a bit claustrophobic. The wifi signal was spotty. The breakfast buffet is delicious, but overpriced. Great bar scene downstairs, especially for the younger crowd.
