A night near Monticello!

We chose this hotel because it was close to Monticello which is where we were going the next day. It was inexpensive and had a huge lovely pool. Unfortunately it rained the whole time so we didn't get to enjoy it. It wasn't the best hotel I've ever stayed in and it wasn't the worst. It was a nice, clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced room for one night which is all we needed. One additional comment I'll add is that the desk clerk was very nice and helpful. We asked him to recommend a restaurant for dinner and he told us Shadwell's which was very close. We went, not expecting much, but surprised to find such an excellent restaurant in that small rural area. The menu was diverse, the food was excellent, and they had great drinks too. For that, I thank the front desk clerk who certainly knew where to send us and he gets a high five for that!!!
