Avoid

Posted Aug 21, 2016
Pros: Close to UVA. Nice televisions.
Cons: Overall upgrade.
Location: Decent location if you are involved in UVA. I was there to move my daughter in. Central location for both campus and shopping for students.
Pretty beat up hotel. Construction going on right next door (August 2016). I am assuming the construction may be a new Days Inn, and if so, they are letting this one go. Would not recommend. It is pretty close to UVA which is the only good thing. In this price range I would recommend the Cavalier Inn, Red Roof, or Excel Inn.

Torn

Posted Jul 27, 2016
Cons: Condition of the room, cracks in the walls and tub.Safety.
I read the reviews from other guests before our stay. Some were good and some were not, we decided to give the benefit of the doubt. The desk clerk was very kind, but the first room we went to had a pair of men's boxer shorts on the floor behind the bathroom door and a wrapper from the soap that must have been used for showers from the previous guest. We were given another room in which I had to kill a spider in the room, and place a towel at the bottom of the door to prevent other insects from entering the room. There was a gap between the bottom of the door and the floor. The air conditioning made noise the entire night. The construction workers that are building a new hotel next door are living in the hotel. The workers walked around without shirts on and peered in the room as they passed. I felt very uncomfortable because I am a female who was traveling with her son. I am torn because the front desk worker was very kind, but our experience was not good. I did not sleep much at all because I kept watch through the night because I did not feel safe. Also, the room key required several swipes before the door would actually unlock.

Worst Hotel Ever

Nasty place that I've ever been in. Flies, dirty sheets, nasty bathtubs.
