Hotel is dated. Strong chlorine smell in lobby because the pool is in the middle of the lobby. Coffee is not so good. Should invest in make up mirrors.

Convenient shuttle from airport. Able to get downtown with Uber and Lyft.

Great value

Great hotel with super helpful staff. The only concern, was the strong smell of chlorine in the liobby. Although beautiful location for the pool

Hotel has really gone downhill

Pros: Cookies are good.
Cons: Staff could clean and service the rooms. Restaurant staff was poor. Lack of drink refills. Dining room is terribly hot. Beds are a misery.
Location: Hotel is located a few miles from downtown. Restaurants and shops are nearby. UVA and several wineries are within a half-hour drive from the hotel.
We've stayed in this hotel a couple of times before and enjoyed our stays, however this time was just terribly disappointing. Our room was never cleaned during our stay, even after we phone the desk to ask for (at least) fresh towels. The bed had large stains on the linens, which we would have pointed out if anyone had ever bothered showing up. Worse still, the beds are the singularly most uncomfortable beds I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing. The hotel was uncomfortably hot, especially for summer. Our room was set to 79 degrees, which made it very musty and the air was stagnant. Because it is summer, the room took forever to cool down to a temperature level that was comfortable enough to sleep in. The halls were also hot, and even the restaurant was set to 77 degrees, which made for unpleasantly warm dining. The restaurant had been a dependable place to eat during past visits, but this time the food was lackluster at best, and service was also poor. Disappointing, because we looked forward to eating there again. Exceptionally tiny drink glasses, no refills. The entire place was looking around for servers. Staff, over all, just didn't seem to care. Parking is somewhat plentiful, the hotel is located near enough to wineries and downtown. The cookies are very good.

Don't forget about the details

Clean hotel, great staff! The elevators were hot the lobby smelled like chlorine. Upon entering the room there was a musty odor and a large industrial air purifier had been forgotten on the desk. The iron and ironing board were broke and an outlet cover was hanging off the wall. The free beverages were nice but we were disappointed that there was no choice of meat for breakfast. I would consider going back but not for 219.

Training course at hotel

Good hotel while at a training. Close to many restaurants and downtown. Room comfortable and clean. Paul at front desk helpful. Restaurant food good but pricey. Pool and gym were being remodeled so no comment on those amenities.

Good hotel

Food was decent to good. Complimentary cookie and Wall Street journal was nice. 1st floor was a bit stuffy and seemed a bit old and could smell fresher but was fine enough.
