Inexpensive and comfy

I made the reservation last-minute, and was given a room on the ground level at request, but the first room smelled like a wet dog (interesting, because pets are not allowed here). The staff were very friendly and gave me another, larger room instead. The beds are just right, not too firm or soft, and the bathrooms very clean, but I didn't like the commercial style toilet and the shower didn't have a foot-up ledge like most do in this day and age...
Breakfast was good also, plenty of bagels and toast, a small hot bar that the staff fills with cheese omelets and other food I didn't get to taste because it kept getting eaten too quickly for me to get any. Waffles are king, and a selection of juices that anyone could be happy with make for the best morning breakfast I've had recently at a hotel this inexpensive.
