The hotel was clean and the staff was great. My only complaint is that the room, bathroom, and continental breakfast were all small. They were adequate and nothing else was wrong, but for the price, I expected something bigger.

Awesome stay!! The staff, from check-in to check-out, front desk, cleaning, and breakfast, was professional and friendly. The room was super clean. I like the "black out" shades in the rooms. The breakfast had an excellent selection of items (eggs, waffles, sausage, baked goods, good coffee). The room was very quiet even though we were the room closest to the elevator. Would highly recommend.

Rooms were very small compared to most Hampton Inns. Three busloads of college students made breakfast very difficult.

Lovely stay
We came in for a weekend with our daughter. Easy check in. Great towels and the bed was SO comfortable! We had a small issue arise which was promptly corrected. AC at this hotel is WONDERFUL and a Texans we appreciated that so much

Clean as a whistle!
Room was clean. Bathroom was clean. Plenty of towels and amenities. Dining area clean and well stocked. Great job by Kathy and the rest of the morning crew.

Overall great stay. The rooms are a bit narrow but well thought out and modernized. What makes this place is the amazing staff. Everybody is so friendly and kind and they are always smiling. Will continue to come back here while our son is attending UVA.

Vents didn't run any either of the bathrooms. Carpet felt damp. Funky smell. Size of room much smaller than others. We had a king with an adjoining 2 Queen. Usually the King has a couch. This room only had one seated chair.

Our room was comfortable and quiet. The hotel was within walking distance of good restaurants and we had a very nice free breakfast at the hotel. I would definitely recommend it!

This property has an elevator inside the outer door…before you go inside the actual lobby of the hotel. Anyone could go in and not even be witnessed by the staff. The next horrible thing is the bathrooms have a sliding barn door. On one side you can see the mirror which shows the the entire bathroom space including the toilet and shower. From the other side you can see the shower. If it’s just you and your spouse you may not care about privacy but I was there with my nephew and did not appreciate the lack of privacy. The “lock” on the bathroom was pathetic. You can open it with your finger bc of the open space on the sides of the door.. Also, you can pull the door straight back toward you to unlock it. I would never ever stay at the Hampton in Charlottesville again nor would I ever recommend it. The type of potential safety issue with regard to the location of an elevator in the breezeway before you enter the door to the lobby is shocking. I did not feel safe there. That setup endangers everyone in that hotel. Very disappointed.

1st 2 rooms shown both were musty. This hotel needs an update. They also did not give us our points for Hilton honors. The Hampton inn at Inwood , WV did.
