The property was fine and the room was clean and quiet. When we arrived at 11:00pm the front desk employee was sound asleep and impossible to awaken for over 5 minutes. Very awkward and frustrating.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is great - next to cafes and restaurants, and close to UVA. My only complaint was breakfast, which I didn't get to enjoy because of my dairy intolerance - the eggs, by default, came with cheese, and since it's pre-made, no option to have eggs without cheese; I had to go out to eat breakfast every day, which is annoying when it shouldn't be the case. Aside from that, I enjoyed my stay.

The room was small, but clean. I loved the mural on the wall. I just wish hotels would install nicer tv’s with better working remotes. There is always a lag with the cheap TV remotes.

Very friendly and comfortable hotel, only stayed one night noticed some things weren’t super clean wash rags seemed a bit dirty and the bed kinda had a stitch of wet dogs otherwise it was very nice and I would stay again!

We had an ok hotel stay, prices were way over inflated due to parents weekend at UVa…. But that being said the hotel room was not worth the $300 we paid for one night. Super friendly staff though. Small things like: the room doors SLAM which is terrifying at night while you’re going to sleep and your neighbor goes out/comes in. The hotel has a mysterious odor that is traveling the building so when we checked in our original room it smelled like the inside of a sewer pipe. Thankfully the second room was better. Our TV would. Not. Turn. Off. It was a hilariously bizarre series of events discovering the remote was after market, the tv had no physical on/off buttons and the power cord runs through the wall so we couldn’t unplug it. Eventually setting a sleep timer worked after 30 mins. So weird. The closet door is so tall it slams into the hall light when you open it. … there’s just a lot of head scratchers with this hotel. But it was clean and, again, the staff was nice.

The hotel had a fire alarm go off twice during the night once around midnight and once around 6am. It blared for 10 seconds and then stopped. This seems to happen often, the front desk attendant said it was odd it happened twice. Also, the sink was gross. There was hair and mold evident in the drainage hole.

My husband got stuck in the bathroom, the door was stuck. Even without the lock, he couldn't open it. I tried to call the front desk, no answer. I called the main number, it had a voice mail saying to dial "O" for the front desk. Still no answer. I went down and told the desk assistant. She said she will be right there. After about 10 minutes, I called again, no answer again. I went down again and told her we needed help as soon as possible. She came with me with another guy. They both tried to open the door, no luck. She called the fire department. They came soon with an axe and other equipment. Finally took off the lock and my husband got out. Soon after, the police came. Now in the space of the lock, there is a big hole. The lady had the nerve to tell us that we won't be charged. For what? Being locked in the bathroom? I said we should get some compensation. she said she will talk to the manager about this. Next night I asked her again, she said she had someone there, will call back. No response after that. It was the same lady "Crystal" from the first night. Today, before checking out I talked to the desk agent (I think her name was Tabatha), and she said she will report it. My husband did not take his phone in to the bathroom. He was saying if he were alone, he would've had to stay there till check out time (2 days) when someone would check.

This property was amazing for the price. Crystal, (girl at the front desk) was excellent! Could not say enough good thing about her. If all staff was was great as her......this would be a 5 star rating!

It sets back away from the road, so finding it and leaving the parking lot can be tricky with all the traffic. The staff was very friendly!

I selected a non smoking room. But the room smelled highly of Marijuana. Would have complained to the front desk but the lobby smelled very strong of it too. Will never book there again as it is not family friendly. Would not recommend.

Bedding was comfortable. Nice breakfast. The room was a 3 star, the handle/knob on the bathroom door was coming apart. We requested some extra towels and pillows but were told that the staff couldn’t leave the desk. That’s pretty weak for a hotel.

There was mold all over the ceiling. The entrance to the hotel was hidden behind a fast food restaurant and extremely difficult to get to due to traffic.

It being tucked away from the busy street provided some solitude and quiet. It's entrance was a bit tricky as it appears to be an access to a fast food business.
