Nice place; clean, comfortable, helpful staff. We travel with our dog; not a lot of options to walk them; but still a nice place.

Trip to charlottesville

We were in town to see a concert at sprint pavilion. We had a nice hotel room, and really enjoyed seeing the city. The hotel breakfast was good too

Broken elevator ruined an otherwise pleasant stay. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast adequate. A bargain for the price.

Just needed a place to sleep on a road trip.

Pros: I like how insulated the rooms are because they are quiet. I also like that most rooms have a microwave and/or fridge, as well as coffee makers.
Cons: The customer service. I stay at a lot of hotels and I'm tired of such poor customer service. Just greet your customers with a smile, at the very least
The customer service was kind of disappointing. When I first walked in neither the lady nor the man at the desk greeted me, let alone acknowledged my presence. If that wasn't enough the lady ignored me, then when another guest appeared behind me from the hallway she started helping him as though I were invisible. As for the actual room, one thing I like about La Quinta's is that the rooms are usually quiet and the beds are comfortable. A lot of hotels have thin walls and you can hear elephants stomp above you on higher floors. But La Quinta's are always very quiet, which is fantastic. I also travel with a dog so I really appreciate that there are no additional fees. There was also a very limited amount of space for my dog to go potty, but there are a few small patches of grass out front and around the side. The room felt fairly clean and the shower was decent. Overall, while the room was quiet and fulfilled its purpose, I was just so taken aback by how poor the customer service was that I don't know if i would stay here again. Although I will say the gentleman who checked me out the next day was great and very friendly. I wish I had spoken to him the whole time!

Pretty nice, very close to UVA

So, I drove right past it. It's hidden behind something or other. Had to do a bunch of U-Turns in the dark. The front desk staff was a little distracted but nice. The room was very clean and had what we needed. Breakfast was good. I love that it's a no smoking hotel but surprised that it was animal friendly. Allergies?? Nice place overall.

Breakfast options and all-day coffee/cocoa is nice; popcorn machine is also a nice touch when you want a little snack after being on the road. Only one elevator that's a bit rickety. Friendly and helpful front desk. About a 10min drive to downtown Charlottesville and on a local highway so it wouldn't be walkable if you wanted to. Rooms are clean and well-appointed. If you're used to high-end hotels you may be disappointed; if you're used to motels, you'll be quite pleased.
