Great hotel!

Great location to downtown Charlotesville and the tram. The staff was fantastic and very helpful. The room was clean and modern.

Other hotels in Cville much better

We are parents of a 4th year at UVA. We have stayed at many of the hotels in area but thought we would try Omni as it is located in downtown mall. The Hotel has no charm, a conference center hotel. Popcorn ceilings in rooms and atrium smelled of chlorine. It needs a complete update and it good be great but I would recommend other hotels closer to campus or Boars head for this price.

Won't go back

Pros: Clean
Cons: Make customers safer by having more security outside and in the parking lots. More HD channels. Too much analog, bad TV picture quality.
Location: Unsafe location in my opinion, but if you are willing to venture out there are very many great restaurants and pubs. There is also shopping.
The hotel is very nice, but the surrounding area is unsafe in my opinion. Riots and VERY many homeless/drug addicts around, even hanging out and sleeping in the hotel parking garage ! My room service food was very good, but it came with a hunk of chewed gum stuck to a glass on the tray. Gross, I sent it back. The staff however is very nice and go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. For those who don't know ... this area is exactly where the Charlottesville riots took place. I found it unsafe no matter your political affiliation. Sadly, anyone could be a target in this part of town.

Nice hotel close to restaurants and shops

We had a great experience. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. It is a nice, clean facility with a very nice lobby. There are tons of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. You walk out of the hotel and onto Charlottesville's Dowtown Mall (one of the longest pedestrian malls in the U.S.). It's a five-minute drive to the UVA campus. We definitely plan to stay here again.

it was okay

stay was okay for what i needed. i was there on business. Keep in mind the walls are thin. the room next to mine had a loud couple and i swear all i could hear was the female yelling/talking loudly. Not all night, thank goodness, but you knew when she was up

Close to university of Virginia

Disappointing

Pros: Room size is fine
Cons: Almost everything at the rates they charge
This was the 3rd time in a row that we booked a kings and we were going to be put into a queen. The only reason I stay there is the location.

Pros: Close to downtown
Cons: Better beds and handicap walk in showers
I booked this place for the location and comfort. However, I was mislead. It didn't have the queen beds like I asked for. All the have are the full beds and king bed. Beds are so uncomfortable. Hard and lumpy. No place to walk my 2 dogs and had to take them to a government property to empty out.
