Pros: Again all I was expecting was a clean room, a little TV and some rest. It did not meet my excpections!
Cons: Clean up the mess after their construction crew leaves at 7:30 AM, breakfast was supposed to be included! I received NOTHING!
Location: It was located fine.
I arrived at about 5 PM and found out that the desk clerk couldn't find mt reservation even with my confirmation number. I had to wait about 45 minutes while the desk clerk found out what another employee did. I finally get my room and find out that it's at the end of the building and you have to carry your bags the entire distance, because the back door next to your room is broken. The room had a musty smell. Could not get hardly any reception on the TV. It was snowy, to say the least. Next morning I got up took my shower and got everything packed to carry out . I go into their lobby to get a bite of breakfast and found a nasty countertop and a trash can full of paper cups and bowls. I asked where I could get a clean bowl and plastic spoon for some cerial. Thee was some left in one of the hoppers. She said "Breakfast is over!, There isn't anymore." I said"It's only 9:20 AM.." She say there might be a little coffee in that last airpot.".I left as I arrived upset!

Pros: It is cheap and in a convenient location.
Cons: Please, please, please fix the after hours door! This is a huge security risk. It was broken the last time I stayed here, a month or so ago.
Location: Excellent location, easy, walking access to shopping and restaurants. Less than 10 minutes by car to most of the attractions in Charlottesville.
After hours door, which is accessed with room card, is broken. It will not shut all the way, enabling anyone to enter the building without being seen, unless the desk clerk just happens to be looking at the monitor at that moment. The staff was very friendly, but one staff member standing just outside front door smoking on several occasions. This meant guests had to pass through smoke to enter the building.

Place was filthy. Front desk staff was busy talking with friends when I was checking in, and I was clearly looked upon as a bother. When checking out in the morning, a different front desk employee whom appeared to be homeless man was laying down in the lobby on the couch watching TV. Seriously. Overnight, I woke up to adjust the room tempature and there were bugs all over the place. Upon check out, I calmly told the sleeping staff member of the bugs and I wasn't even offers an apology or any assurance that they would call an exterminator. Again, I was treated like a nuisance. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

Everything smelled heavily of cigarette smoke and chemical air freshener. Lamps had cut cords and we're dangling from the wall by wires. Poor lighting and broken door knob in bathroom. Mini fridge didn't work.

Pros: Staff was great and Super 8 was located near restaurants, shopping areas, etc. Couldn't have asked for more.
Cons: Maybe spending money on carpeting..
Location: Right near the major highways, restaurants, shops, downtown, etc. Great location.
Super 8 was perfect for the one-night we needed in Charlottesville, VA, on a college football weekend. So reasonable and the staff was great, going over and beyond what was needed to help us get on-line. The room, breakfast, everything was fine.

Pros: Nothing
Location: Location was good.
The front desk staff person was rude. The iron had gunk all over it, ruining a shirt, and the iron board was dirty and cover ripped. The chair in our room had tears on the seat. and furniture was scuffed and old. I could not get an extra towel either day. Carpets were worn and dirty.

My band stayed here while touring through Charlottesville. The hotel was pretty disgusting. There were stains on the chairs, floor and comforter. The entire hallway and rooms smelled musty and a little bit like cigarettes. The woman who checked us in was very rude and not very pleasant. The lady who checked us out was much better and the maids were nice. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place.
