Perfect B&B in Great Location

Posted Oct 29, 2017
Pros: Beautiful, clean rooms. Amazing breakfast and afternoon tea. Courteous staff who went above and beyond to make our stay perfect.
Location: Walking distance to the beautiful town of Chatham, beach, fishing pier...great restaurants and unique shops.
The amenities and wonderful staff highly exceeded our expectations...we knew it would be great but didn't expect it to be so far beyond that! We will stay here every time we return to Chatham!

Gorgeous gardens, relaxing stay

Posted Jul 15, 2017
The Innkeepers greet you and the staff are there to make your stay very comfortable. Coffee brought to your room so you can relax and leisurely ready for the day. Room was delightfully appointed with 2 large wing chairs and ottoman for comfort. Breakfast was yummy with fresh tropical fruits, eggs, their special French toast. Great location.

Check the room size

Posted Jun 28, 2017
Pros: Staffs are professional and they really know their job.
Location: Its location is good and it is 10-20min walk to main street.
Before planning and booking, ask the size of the room. The garden room is soooo small and two person can barely fit in there.

Thank you for your review. We are very proud of our staff, they really do a great job. You are correct, our Garden Room is our smallest room. It does feature a queen bed, love seat and new hardwood floors. The bathroom also has an oversized shower stall. Please contact us directly if you would like recommendations on room choices.

A real gem

This is a really great B&B. It is actually far beyond a B&B and would challenge many top class hotels. The service is exceptional and the added bonus of afternoon tea is a real treat with those scones and cakes!!! Diet next week!!!

Charm at an authentic colonial inn.

Posted Oct 6, 2016 on Hotels
We had a delightful 3-day stay at the Captain's House Inn. The owners themselves were on vacation and left us a handwritten note of welcome. The room was charming. Courtesy snacks, soft drinks, water and Lindt chocolates were provided. There were new menus for breakfast and tea each day. The staff was made up of young English women from a hospitality school there on internships to learn hotel and restaurant skills. They were very attentive and friendly. A quiet library room had a huge inventory of DVDs and a computer connection. This lovely inn fit right in with the charm of the town of Chatham.

Hurricane in Chattham

Beautiful place, beautiful staff, wonderful service, great food. Everyone was very accommodating. Our room was most likely the smallest and it was filled with amenities. Maybe too many.

Loved our stay

Posted Aug 13, 2016
The Captain's House has beautiful grounds, comfortable and nicely furnished rooms and a delightful staff. I wish we had more time to enjoy more of its amenities. We did have afternoon tea in the garden, the tea (or coffee) and cookies when we returned in the evening and the delicious made-to-order breakfast in the morning. We would return in a heartbeat.
