Not What We Had Expected

Pros: Really cant say much about it as we did not stay ..
Cons: The odor in the main floor rooms need to be addressed
Unexpected stay we had been in Chatham for a family emergency and were told this hotel had been renovated recently I think the lobby has been renovated because the rooms were not . We were in two different rooms and there were not clean and they had some type of odor that it made my husband have a asthma attack that we had to leave the hotel . When we contacted the front desk staff were told here was nothing they could do. If it had not been for expedia assisting us not sure what we would do . Not a place we would stay again . The rooms have an odor and the Hotel Manager and staff did not seem to care . Sorry Comfort In Chatham not a place I would stay again until you get the odor out of those rooms .

Surprising

From the outside it looks a bit worn, but once inside it is fully renovated with a nice breakfast area. Rooms were recently upgraded by the looks of things and we're very clean

Better than expected

Cons: The parking lot hasn't been paved recently and could use some new tarmac.
The hotel is recently renovated. Locals were disappointed I chose this hotel, but it was strategically located, close to 401 and because it was renovated it was really very nice. My window looked out on a meadow and the next morning there was a flock of Canadian geese under my window. Forgot I was in the city.

super friendly, clean and modern

I was able to easily change my reservation from the 30th to Apr.1. Upon arrival, greeted with a very friendly woman at the front desk, she was very friendly, welcoming...perfect. She gave me all the info I needed regarding the hotel and more, checked us in quickly. Our stay was nice, room was great. Breakfast was a bit slow, it was very busy and I think they had to go buy more eggs... overall I would stay again and would recommend.

We were in town for a funeral. The staff were friendly and informative. Our 1st survey I commented on the room having a musty smell. We were at our family members viewing. When we arrived back at the hotel about 930p our key cards would not work. I went to the front desk and was told that it was done cause she thought we were ignoring the light on the phone. She offered to move us but we declined. This was the last thing we wanted to do since we came to Chatham from several hours away and we had a very long and rough day.

We did notice on your feedback the night of your stay about the musty smell you were having in your room and while we wanted to speak to you to see what we could do by having a message light on your room's phone, I can assure you we did not reset your cards. It is possible they deactivated if they were near any electronics. We sincerely apologise for the odour and inconvenience you experienced as a result as we always want our guests to have nothing less than a great stay. We do hope you will give us another chance in the future to provide you with a better stay. Take care!
