Under Construction

Booked this hotel on our vacation because it was nice with a pool and cont. breakfast. Get there and find out it's under construction so no pool, no breakfast and still paid full price:/

The hotel is indeed under renovation and this is posted on both our web sites and with the major on-line sites. In addition, our rates are being held substantially below area competitors to reflect the reduced amenities. We are still offering a selection of prepackaged items for breakfast along with a nice selection of beverages. We are working to complete renovations as fast as possible to restore access to the main lobby, pool, and breakfast areas.

Close to downtown, easy access to many places

Pros: clean, spacious room
Cons: inform of remodel, disappointing to not get what you paid alot of money for
Location: Tennessee Aquarium, River Boat Gorge tour, abundance of many different places to eat near hotel, Ruby Falls, Lookout Mountain, plenty of stuff to do
Hotel was under remodel when we arrived, apparently had been so for a few months, of which we were not informed. We paid a good price to include all the amenities, no pool and no hot breakfast. Were told we could go to another hotel to swim, who wants to travel to swim? Unable to see out of hotel room due to plastic being on the windows. The room we stayed in was quite nice, we had a king suite, very comfortable beds, TV in each room, places everywhere to charge your phone or tablet, awesome shower set up.

It is not uncommon for third-party sites not to provide us with that information. I am certainly glad to hear that you enjoyed your renovated room. The new shower panels are awesome, and I had had quite a few guests mention that they have never had such a fantastic shower. I do hope that you will stay with us again to experience the fully renovated hotel.

Under renovation- No Amenities

Arrived to find it under renovation. No Libby, no pool, no hot breakfast, no workout room, rooms renovated but not finished. Hotel had almost nothing to offer but still charged full price. Tv service was intermittent as it went in and out most likely to construction but when I asked about it I got no answer or even apology. Total false advertisement. Will never return to a place that can't communicate or accommodate better. We just couldn't wait to leave. Waste of our money. Truly disappointed.

We also make every attempt to inform arriving guests in advance about our renovations provided that we have their contact information. Under Construction

Pros: The room was updated and clean.
Cons: Construction zone.... make guests aware when the room is booked!
When I booked this hotel for a weekend in Chattanooga, I was not informed of the remodeling in process. The place was a mess! No hot breakfast, cold danish and cereal only. Pool was not open. Hotel staff was set up at a card table inside a side door. I booked the no cancellation option through Expedia so I was stuck! On a good note, the room itself was updated and clean. The air worked well and the shower was nice! We spent little time at the hotel so it worked out.

Worse ever. They are renovating and has wrong pic.

Worse ever. They are renovating and has false pics on Expedia.com. Expedia didn't make sure that the pics are right and guests don't suffer. A/c wasn't working, no iron, no coffee table or chair, no hanggers, no hot breakfast. It was a nightmare.

This is designed to keep the guest room area from being overly cluttered. As part of the renovation, all ac units were replaced with brand-new units. Undisclosed Major Construction

Hit heavy traffic and arrived very tired to find what can best be described as a war zone. Main lobby fenced, closed, tarped. Followed signs to check in met with sign on inner door first says No hot breakfast, Pool Closed etc (see photos) Hall ways were dank stripped and horribly uninviting. Overall was embarrassed to bring my family in there and felt cheated. Apologizing for construction mess doesn't change the fact I had other options. Should have been offered a substancial credit.

Nice hotel and friendly staff

Pros: convenience and reasonable
Cons: More lighting in the rooms
Location: restaurants are in walking distance
Even though they were remodeling, the staff made us feel special.

I greatly appreciate your consideration as our renovations enter their final stages. Our rooms still contain our legacy lamps and we shall soon be installing the new lighting fixtures that have been arriving over the past few days. We will be using 5000K (light color = daylight) LED bulbs which, when combined with the new fixtures, should improve the overall lighting in each room. DO NOT STAY HERE

Pros: We liked the fact we only had to stay one night.
Cons: Renovations need to be done by a professional and completed before opening. Then they need a manager to properly run the place.
Location: Lots of nearby restaurants.
The hotel was under renovation. We had no clue when we booked it. When we showed up to say we were disappointed, would be an understatement. No pool, no hot breakfast - two reasons we chose this hotel over others. They listed an alternate breakfast they were serving and when we showed up for it, they didn't even have all of those limited items there. The "breakfast" was served in an unfinished room with no tables or places to sit down. When we showed up, I specifically asked if the room we would get was finished or not. I was told it was finished. Let me list the issues: The drapes were not hung correctly, the furniture looked to be haphazardly put together and some pieces were painted a ghastly hot pink. There was a sticker still on the newly installed floor. There was paint on the floor, not a lot but a brand new room should have none! Marks showed where the furniture was pushed. The door between the two rooms was missing, the marks from the hinges were exposed. The sink had a new faucet and they re-used the old cover to the overflow. The vent in the bathroom was smaller than standard so they cut a standard vent cover in half to cover it up. The main door didn't fit properly and you had to push/yank to get it open or closed. There were light switches that I swear did nothing. The phone jack was hanging out of the wall. I'm out of space so I'll close by saying the bed was comfortable but overall not worth half the price we paid. Do not stay here!!!!

Awful... Isn't worth the price right now

Where do I start... They are renovating so 1. No hot breakfast 2. No pool... They told me to go to Super 8 to swim 3. They don't even have a front desk 4. No locals .... Wth!
