We had great time at Baan Samui! The hotel is perfectly located on the nice and quiet part of the beach. Rooms are very clean, there is enough space in the room and overall very nice and cozy. Stuff is just amaizing, always very friendly and polite! Pool is also nice, clean and big enough.

Highly recommended services was very good clean hotel 2mins walk to beach and central shopping mall 3 swimming pools over all hotel is well worth the money for familys and couples

Hotel was clean, however is on a very busy road with lots of noise. Staff were ok not massively attentive but did what they needed to do. The pool was pleasant. Didn’t use the restaurant but would avoid the tour desk at the hotel as you can find excursions much cheaper at the tour offices on the street. If you are looking for a relaxing peaceful holiday I’d avoid Baan Samui. It isn’t helped by the Thai boxing advertising vans with blaring messages driving up and down the street all evening and advertising on a boat whilst on the beach during the day

Nice stay in a good location.
Had a good 4 night stay with friend recently. It’s an old hotel with small rooms but it’s in a good location with a great pool area. Restaurant could be a little better, but certainly not bad.

This property Hasan amazing position.Best beach and lovely tranquil gardens. Then walk out the front into the hustle and bustle of the town . where all amenities are so close.

Great hotel, great service, wifi, comfortable.
Overall great location. Awesome service, friendly staff. Breakfast was very good. Wifi worked well. Back of the hotel is beautiful beach with free beach chairs and bookable activities around and front is on the street next to shops, restaurants, travel/activity agents, etc. Hotel itself is older, but they've made good efforts to make it look updated and nice. The style is more outdoor with textured stucco rather than clean 5-star look. it was ok. Didn't try either restaurant because the one on the beach was 2-3x higher for some of the same food and didn't look any better, though a great setting. Didn't try the other one because although the live music is a nice touch both night the person they had was really off-key and I found it more annoying than anything. Staff was extremely friendly and eager to help. We had a all-day snorkel trip and they offered a paid late checkout in the evening or if we just wanted to shower we could check out before and use the shower room for free. If we are back we will stay there again. AC and shower worked great, though water wasn't too hot in shower, just warm.

Has the feel of family run but the standards of a five star. Fantastic, came for 4 nights, booked to stay on another 6 nights instead of moving to the other side of the island. Very clean hotel, beautiful gardens great price highly recommend, stunning beach & even more beautiful in the evening from the hotel bar & restaurant !

The staff was very nice and the food very tasty. However, I feel that this hotel needs to do a few things better to merit a better rating. There’s a sense of complacency within the staff, I felt. The cushions of the pool lounges need a serious overhaul, the pool towels have seen better days and I was sad to see that they do not clean the beach every day. Also, the ladder leading into the pool is wobbly and if mgmt was more “on the ball”, this would have been fixed a long time ago. Further, we had drinks in the room and the cold glasses left watermarks on the table. These were never cleaned during our 5 nights stay at the hotel. These small things, which would be easy to avoid, lead me to my review score.

Was a really lovely stay, great location, great food, great customer service, Great staff and most importantly for me was toddler friendly with a great kids pool, Would stay here again. Close to the centre of town but also a private beach, was nice and quiet even being in town. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and have no complaints other than it being so close to the airport so hearing planes take off most days was a bit annoying, however my toddler loved it haha. Thank you Baan Samui I will definitely return.

Great Location and Staff - Rooms a little old
Great first time experience in Koh Samui. The hotel staff was friendly and quickly resolved several issues we had with the rooms. All the other guests in the hotel are friendly as well. Checkin was fast and efficient. The hotels cats are wonderful to have around. We stayed for 6 nights in the Superior Deluxe in mid March 2018. The location is perfect, far enough away from the ArkBar (less noise) and easy walking distance to all the main places in the area. All we read about the Chewang Beach area was it is a party atmosphere which we did not believe it was, if near the ArkBar then yes, but this hotel far enough away. We are planning our holiday next year same area (different hotel) and time of year, weather and water was perfect.

Aweful service. No working elevator. Old and filthy bathroom. Dirty floor. The hotel charges 400 Baht for the laundry bag in the room. Old and not very well maintained property.

Wow! What a wonderful stuff and service! We booked 2 nights in advance. After the first night we asked to stay two more nights, and got the same price ;) On the last (4th) night, our baby was sick and we took him to the hospital, who asked us to stay close. So we got back to the hotel at 1am, asked to stay another night, and they made sure we stay on the same room. We really appreciate their service and their help. You're in good hands if you come here! Besides, the hotel itself is sooo beautiful. And the rooms as well! There's no an ordinary door between the room and the shower/bathroom but that's fine with us. Great location! Close to everything and still quite. Perfect for families with little kids and babies. Thank you so much! We enjoyed very much and would definitely come back once we visit Koh Samui again.

First time in Baan Sumia
First time in thialand so not sure what to expect, the rooms were just what we expected, although not sure if the rough finishings of the walls/grouting etc were a deliberate attempt to look rustic or just plane rough,lol. The pool and beach were just what was expected. We were dissappointed to be charged for a broken glass,50baht, for a really thin glass. Did not eat at Baan Sumia so cannot comment apart from to say what we saw others eating looked good.Drink prices were high.Shop just outside for chilled drinks etc. All in all the resort beach side was fine but street side was just too in your face,too many people wanting a slice of the holiday maker. Staff in Baan were fine. Couple of big cockroaches in our room but we were ground floor so only to expect some kind of beasty. The wifi dropped out all the time but note sure if it was to do with us using iphones,had to keep logging back in. Prior to arrival we had contacted the Baan twice to check on something and neither time got an answer,this was dissappointing. Arriving at Koh Samui airport you are faced with not a lot of choice, either the one and only taxi firm on the Island or a shared shuttle, shuttle half the price of taxi if theres 2 of you ,coming back you can get a taxi for 2 for 300 baht if your good at asking. Taxis at door of Baan all the time.

Location plus!
Perfect location on the beach and a short walk to some of the best restaurants in Koh Samui. Walk out onto the beach for super relaxation or any beach activity you can think of. If sand isn't for you kick back on the deck chairs around the pool and sauna Or walk out the front to shopping restaurants or a cab ride to any amazing activity! Only down side the beds and pillows are hard. Maybe time to upgrade the pillows!
