Great location - Excellent staff

We can't wait to come back next year - the staff were fantastic & best food / drinks around. Good value for money & excellent location.

Nice hotel accept not much of facilities accept the swimming pool which is clean but close too early 7pm.

Nice hotel close to beach

Stayed at this hotel with family including two children ages 3 and 1. Staff are excellent. Hotel Managers very helpful. Very good location. Breakfast good with variety.

Beautiful hotel

Dara samui gives off a very cozy resort feeling. The beach has absolutely stunning view. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. There are a few cons about this hotel though which is lots of houseflies around the breakfast place, mosquitoes at the balcony area ( this provide anti mosquitoes spray ) and sometimes impatient staff. Mostly its still a good place to stay at.

Nice hotel in Samui

Nice resort on the beach. Only draw back was my view was of the construction of a new hotel. Did this bother me?....not at all. Unless you are medical holiday you won't be in your room to hear the noise. I spent the majority of a week in my room and it did not bother me. The staff was great.

There is major construction at the adjacent property. It was quite noisy in the morning....

Dear Anonymous Thank you for staying with us at Dara Samui and for sharing your experience during your stay with us. I am sorry about the noise from the construction especially in the morning. We have an understanding that work should start after 8.30am and the backhoe to start after 9.00am. On the times when the workers start earlier, we make every effort to remind them to start after 8.30am. Although the construction is not part of our hotel, we do our level best to minimise the inconvemienced caused to our guests. In most case, we have been successful in achieving this goal, and like your goodself, almost all our guests continued to stay with us as the noise is not all day and does not affect the swimming pool and beach areas. We returned to Dara Samui for our honeymoon and were not disappointed with friendly, helpful and flexible staff, neat and functional rooms, with super cold air conditioning. Excellent location - on the beach and can walk to everything you will need! We look forward to staying again next time :)

Dreadful hotel. Dreadful experience.

Pros: Nothing. It's a disaster top to bottom.
Cons: Fire all the staff, or get them trained on basic service and courtesy. Post pictures of the construction site next door - so we're not duped.
Arrived late morning. Were told that as our room wasn't ready, we can change in the toilets for the pool. No courtesy room. We carried our bags to the restaurant to get something to eat. Staff told us - rudely - to move, that we couldn't sit there as they are still serving breakfast for guests. As as we haven't stayed a night we don't qualify for breakfast so we have to move. Staff took my wife's bag and dumped it my the bar. And told her to move. This all happened within 10 mins of us arriving. I immediately called Orbitz and booked a new hotel - best decision I made, got the heck out of this place as fast as we could. When I told the staff we were checking out, they grabbed my passport and tried to take a photocopy - not sure why: I said to them that's my personal information, even though the staff tried to wrestle it out of my grasp. To forewarn others, the hotel is next to a construction site. There is airplane noise from flying aircraft on a regular basis. There is dance music from the clubs in and around the hotel. So overall this hotel is absolutely atrocious - from the staff to the hotel itself to the location.

Great price great resort

Amazing resort, clean and friendly and helpful staff.. resort was close to construction site so view wasn't nice , but other than that great food and location great people and staff. A hop step and a jump away from the beach.
