Comfortable hotel but far from the action

I didn't realize how far from central Chaweng this hotel was when I booked it. It's perfectly comfortable, but I can't think of anyone to whom this hotel would appeal over other properties. If you want Chaweng, this hotel is a dangerous walk along the highway or a taxi/songkraew ride to get there. There is beach access through an overgrown vacant lot across the street. If you want peaceful, you're better off going to a smaller beach such as Mae Nam (which is better than Chaweng in many ways anyway). If you have your own transport and don't need nightlife or proximity to restaurants, this hotel could be OK. Finally, the owner tries to be friendly, but his English is too limited to get any useful info about the island from him.

Good hotel, poor location

The hotel is an excellent budget hotel. Staff were welcoming and facilities were clean. TV isn't a flat screen but not a big deal. However, the location is not ideal. While the beach is literally across the road, there are not many restaurant options nearby (especially cheaper options). To get into town, it's a 5-7 dollar cab ride, so you might as well just pay more for a hotel closer to town.

Pros: Friendly staff, perfect service.
Location: Close to the beach and joga retreat that I had my training every day.
This is a perfect little hotel close to the beach with hospitable staff that will fulfil all your requests. Clean, quiet and friendly.

Pros: personal service - the owner very chatty and helpful always greeting us with a smile. Helped us with transport and good advise
Cons: busy road to cross to get to the beach
Very clean, good size rooms, quiet. Amazing service - the owner used his car to take us to the local markets - great atmosphere overall. Hotel located very close to the beach however had to cross busy road to get there. Not the problem once you know where to go.

You won't regret staying here! Fabby place and so helpful, 5 mins walk across road to the beach, to where the local food is great. Well worth the visit and actually good to be just out the main town area.

Propriétaires aux petits soins avec nous.Nous conseillons vivement cet hôtel,chambre spacieuse, propre. Hôtel situé à mi-chemin entre le quartier de Chaweng Noi et le quartier de Lamai.Nous y retournerons sans hésiter.

Неплохой отель через дорогу от очень хорошего пляжа. Хорошое сочетание цена/качество. Обстановка конечно чуть подуставшая, но все работает без нареканий. Рекомендую.
