Last minute flight due to funeral. It's unfortunate I had to pay so much due to flight not being planned.

Flight was delayed 3 hours and nothing was offered to compensate. I found that odd, but I didn’t let it ruin my trip.

Disappointed I had to pay for luggage

I was disappointed our seats were not together on either flight forcing me to spend more money to sit together and also cost money to check our bags. At the very least when you book two tickets together the seats should be together. That should be the lowest of expectations.

Toronto ground crew was way better than the ground crew in Boston.

Only big surprise was that I wouldn't be allowed to take a carry on bag with me, and had to check it. I usually book through expedia, and it is very difficult to see if you're booking the kind of ticket that allows you a carry-on or not. I haven't been able to figure it out yet, so I just keep getting surprised during check-in when I'm expecting to be able to check a bag. It might make sense to either 1) work with expedia to make sure these restrictions are posted more prominently during purchase, or 2) allow an option to pay to carry on a bag, even if it's expensive.
