We loved this hotel. It's quaint and simple. Everything we needed for our stay. The location was wonderful. Subway right at the corner was so convenient for us. Midtown is the best area. WE WILL STAY AGAIN! Loved it.

Overall, a fine place to stay. We had a maintenance issue and concierge took care of it right away. Our room was on the alley side, so it was actually very quiet at night. We could walk to many attractions. Continental breakfast was just muffins and untoasted bagels, so that was the only disappointment.

The property was one of the very best places to stay to get all the excitement activities that New York City has Has to offer. I highly recommend this place to use a lift to get around or very plentiful places to walk.

The hotel is in a great location, clean, close to the subway. Walkable distance from Penn station. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I appreciated having a simple breakfast of coffee, bagels and muffins in the morning. The price for hotel was decent for the location. My only complaint would be that we needed better blinds in our windows to block out the light at night. And the noise from the streets was very loud. But, that’s typical in NYC.

This place was fine. It did its job. For sure a hotel to stay in for a couple days. Any longer I think you need somewhere better. The bed wasn't comfterable, things were already messed up like the iorn and dents in the bathtub. Atleast I could hook up my switch the the TV and internet with ease. Thats a first. Also wifi/signal service kept going in and out. That was kind of weird. Other than that, I am greatful for having a private bathroom regardless. I stated in a hotel simular to this in new york and each floor had 2 shared bathrooms with 10 rooms. If you can't find anywhere at a good price, this hotel will do. It does its job.

For the price it was fantastic. On top of one of the main subway lines. Loads of places to eat and drink within walking distance. Beautiful bagels for breakfast. Highly recommend.

The bad: -pillows are hard (maybe ask for a second one?) -depending on where you are, the streets are very loud -- we stayed in a corner room, and could hear traffic all night -there is no conditioner with the toiletries (only an issue for us because I tried to travel with as few liquids as possible) -not all of the outlets in the room seemed to be working (but they do give you a power bar) The good: -free bagels, muffins, and coffee at breakfast -the staff were really friendly -rooms were dated but very clean -we were able to get a cot, free of charge (ww travelled with a 14 yr old and an 11 yr old, and they didn't want to sleep together) -A/C and heater work very well -LOCATION!!! This place is right by the #1 train, and at 6th&23rd and 8th&23rd there are also subway stops -there is a Whole Foods one block away, so we were able to buy fresh fruit, yogurt, etc and stock it in the fridge (which is hidden in the desk) -the neighbourhood felt very safe to walk around All in all, I would recommend this place, especially for the price :)

Every single person working at the hotel was so friendly and accommodating! The hotel is within walking distance to anything and everything for a fun NYC trip! It was clean, room was nice and spacious, and my family loved the fresh pastries for the breakfast served. We would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Room was larger than many hotels in NY. Very plain and dated, but it was all we needed. Good bagels and muffins in the morning. Comfortable beds, we would stay here again.

It was clean and the property was convenient to many places. The coffee and continental bkfst was a plus. The rooms were modest and sparse. The shade in my room did not go down all the way and it took a while for the shower to warm up. But the people were very friendly, and it was a good value.

Don’t judge the book by its cover. Even when is a little old property with no luxury at all this is a GREAT place to stay. Room and bathroom are clean and is super convenient, almost in the middle of the NYC action. You can walk virtually anywhere from the hotel. Almost all major attractions are within 16-27 minutes walking. Definitely worth it. Breakfast is coffee and pastries.
