Great Location

Posted Oct 15, 2017
Pros: The Location
Cons: scent in the rooms wasnt old but didnt smell like clean either
Before going we read some bad reviews mainly about the hotel, but our room was clean we actually got there 20 min before check in and were allowed to check in. Obviously you have to keep in mind its an old building so it might not smell like brand new anything but overall we were please with our stay

Great location and that's about it

Posted Oct 15, 2017
Pros: Location, Location, Location
Cons: The rooms. There's nothing there except beds and TV. Need desk or dressers, etc...
Location: Times Square, Penn Stations, many restaurants and shops.
Great location and price and that's about it. If you plan on being out most of the day and night and only sleep and shower, you can't beat it. Everything is around you. Rooms are old - definitely could use a new coat of paint.

Good location

Posted Oct 14, 2017
Pros: The hotel was right across the Penn Station and centralized to Times Square, Empire State Building, Macy's and other shopping areas.
Cons: Change your beds...squeaky and bouncy! Also, carpet in room was dirty and old.
Hotel was very dated but the location was excellent.

Needs and upgrade

Posted Oct 14, 2017
Pros: Very convienant hotel to Penn Station and a central location to enjoy Manhattan. It was a reasonable rate compacted to most other hotels in the area.
Cons: Total rehab of the hotel up to modern, current styles and standards.
Location: The new Pennsy food court next to Madison Square Garden is a great place for lunch or dinner or to get a drink. Times Square is a short walk away.
However the hotel is very outdated and used. After 20 years since I’d been there, not much had changed walls, carpets, bathroom tube, all really used and out of date. Staff was very helpful when I left something behind, they helped located it and fedexed it back.

Housekeeoer came into my room

Posted Oct 14, 2017
I put Do Not. Disturb sign on my door. The first night a man knocked on my door but would not identify himself. I reported it- mgr. Said it was probably a housekeeper, but as a single woman it was scary.Second day I put Do Not Disturb sign on my door but housekeeper came in and made bed.Din't know if anything was missing. Walls were in bad shape, plaster falling off. Big crowd of kids partying in hallway. Water turned off last day.Operator said she'd send up a plumber.Never did. Finally did.Awful place and scary.Guess u get what pay for.

Rundown.

Pros: Great location.
Cons: It needs an overhaul.
Location: It's in the heart of the city; great location.
This hotel needs an overhaul. Great location, but it's in need of massive renovation. Not recommended.

Excellent location

Posted Oct 12, 2017
Excellent location but the hotel is just tired and in real need of updating. Bathroom / carpet very tatty and air con works well but is very noisy. If a porter flags a taxi for you this costs you $15 in tip so you are better to flag them down your self and steer clear. No tea or coffee making facilities in rooms. Baggage can be kept for you after beck out, $5 per item.
