Convenient visiting the abbey, the point of our viPosted Sep 29, 2015
Pros: The flowers.
Cons: Staff attitude
Staff could have been more helpful when we were leaving. It was raining heavily, the carpark a distance away. It was not until a French driver brought his car up to reception and made them move out door tables out of the way so that he could get through that several of us realised we could do that. There was no help offered with luggage or when I slipped on the wet floor in reception. Guests having dinner seemed more of an inconvenience than welcome.

Nice Hotel convenient for the ChateauPosted Sep 5, 2015
Pros: Convenient location, has its own private garden, pool and parking. Very pleasant staff. Room was comfortable. Cuisine was a fairly high standard
Cons: Wi Fi had limited coverage and ultimately stopped working during my stay. That should be fixed.
Location: Chenonceau Chateau is one of the more dramatically set of the 'Loire' chateaux. It is actually located on the Cher, a few km S of the Loire.
I stayed in a room in the back of the hotel at first floor level which is approached from an upper level external gallery and terrace, additional to the original part of the hotel. These rooms are very pleasant, quiet and have an outlook to the garden. From my experience of staying here on a number of occasions these rooms are the best. The lady who runs the hotel speaks at least three languages and she and her staff are all delightful and helpful. On a summer's evening an outside terrace adjoining the dining room is very pleasant for an alfresco supper. I have stayed here on three previous occasions and will probably return again.

sympathique hotelPosted Jun 24, 2015 on Hotels

Wonderful place to stayPosted Jun 22, 2015 on Hotels
Fantastic little hotel within walking distance of Chateau Chenonceaux. Great advise from Hotel to get there as soon as it opens - had a wonderful visit to the chateau before the coaches arrived. Food excellent.
