I would never rent a room at this hotel. First off, when I arrived, there was not one person staying in this hotel, and no one was at the front desk. I called out for about 10 minutes and no one ever came. I walked around to see if I could find anyone, nope. I knocked on the managers door, no answer. I knocked several times, no answer. I saw a phone on the wall, I picked up receiver and dialed zero. No answer. I hung up and redialed zero. Finally someone answered. I told the person I was there to check in, and he said “we will be there soon.” At this point, I did not feel safe staying there. I went back to the front desk and waited. About 5 minutes passed and this guy walked out, with a dirty t-shirt on and headphones hanging around his neck. I told him I did not feel safe staying there and no one else seemed to be staying there at which time he told me the reason no one was there was because they had just cleaned the carpet. At that point he asked for my debit card and I.d. He never once asked for my name. That told me I was the only one checking in. He printed out a form with my name and again asked for a debit card and I.d. I again told him I did not feel safe staying there and asked for a refund. He told me I would have to cancel through Expedia. At this point I went out to my car to call Expedia. A man whom I assume is the owner came into the lobby area and just stood there staring at me sitting in my car. It made me feel very uncomfortable.
