Pros: The friendlyness of the staff. Very accommadating. The heated pool was nice and refreshing.
Cons: the up keep of the rooms. Air conditioners need to be checked more often.
Location: The location was great. Close enough to Cherokee to drive to and from. Lots of dining places to choose from.
When we arrrived and given our keys to our room it was pleasant. Entering the room the air was not working. Called the front desk and they moved us to another room with working air. After going to dinner and returning the carpet was wet in front of the air conditioner. We decided not to complain as we were just staying one night. The motel it self was clean and appeaing. The staff friendly and accommodating.

nice motel in maggie valley

Posted Aug 18, 2015
Pros: location and cleanliness of motel. staff was great !
Cons: nothing that i could see or find
Location: restaurants close by and many shops too. motel is in a nice location in the town.
The microtel inn in maggie valley is a very nice comfortable, quite , clean , friendly, reasonable motel to stay at when staying in maggie valley. The rooms were very clean and up to date. Staff was very friendly and courteous and helpful, no problems at all. The motel is small but that was a good thing cause there was not any noise and overall it was very quite , not alot of traffic. We really enjoyed our stay there and will book there again if ever visiting maggie valley inthe future. I highly recommend this motel, great place to stay. Wayne G.

Good location. Clean.

Posted Aug 7, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Demeanor of 2nd shift employer.
Location: Restaurants and gift shops.
Daytime employee was very pleasing and helpful. Second shift employee was extremely rude. Due to not being able to turn off a light we tried to call the front desk at approximately 9:30pm. No answer. Tried again at 10:30pm. Still no answer. I dressed and went to the front desk and found Janise on the phone and playing a computer game. I told her I had been trying to call since 9:30pm. Her indignant response was "I have other things to do." I told her our problem. She very huffy went to our room again and indignantly mentioned 2 switches. Turned the light off, quickly walked away uttering something. The only word i heard was "stupid...."

Really a Days Inn in disguise

This was a Days in. Really outdated and odd for the money.

was disappointed that a non-smoking room had burn holes in couch and the cleanliness of the lobby restroom left something to be desired.

Wonderful hotel in Maggie Valley

Posted Jul 31, 2015
Pros: Love that it is easily located and has a huge indoor pool
Location: Lots of wonderful little shops located up and down the strip and only 20 minutes from Cherokee where you can go to the Indian Museum or Indian Village
This was the second time staying at the Microtel in Maggie Valley. Walking distance to tee shirt shop, putt putt golf, Opry house and restaurants. The staff is helpful. Love the indoor swimming pool and hot tub.

Try It - You'll Like It!

Pros: Nice location on the Maggie Valley strip. Quiet.
Cons: The smoking area just outside the front door is off-putting. Rocking chairs and ash trays invite smokers to pollute your passage in the front door.
Location: Maggie Valley - inviting 'resort town' that is quaint and quiet. Stroll around town or check out the river. Shops, hotels and hometown restaurants..
We had a very good stay at this hotel. Our accommodations were spacious and the living room area was an added treat. Being able to sit on the sofa or the window seat & relax was so much nicer than sitting on the bed. Having a mini kitchen was great but without ANY kitchen gear, we only used the microwave & the coffee maker. The indoor pool was clean & the breakfast was the regular motel fare. We would definitely stay here again. Try it!

Pros: Location was a plus.
Cons: Control on kids, smokers, prevention of price gouging / control and a WIFI that works ! Hard to medium pillows as well.
Location: Location was near where we needed to be... a plus as stated above.
The bed was good, but pillows were too soft. Used 2 pillows and still could not get comfortable. WIFI did not work on my equipment due to poor signal strength. The rival WIFI next door was stronger. Had I their code, I could have used it. We paid too much for the room... nothing extra as far as services from 3 years ago. Will probably use a competitor when I return in a couple months. Smoking allowed at main entrance is offensive to nonsmokers. Kids out of control in the pool area and running around yelling on the floor above us was bothersome especially after 9:00 p m. Yes, I definitely paid too much for this room. Thanks.
