Great cabin
Phenomenal management. We had a great stay with no issues. Our cabin was so cozy, clean, and exactly what we were looking for our weekend away! Only word of caution- the road to get to the cabin is very steep, has a super sharp turn, and is not very wide. We got nervous every time going up and down that we would meet someone and it not be wide enough for two vehicles.

This was the perfect place for our girl's trip. We were close to restaurants and activities. We also really enjoyed the hot tub! Wonderful, clean, and tranquil!

Absolutely cleanest rental we have ever had! The cabin was beyond clean and cozy. The hot tub was fantastic. Wonderful communication with staff. We highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back.

The cabin was a real cozy snuggle in get away after a busy day of touring. Even had a complimentary bottle of wine to enjoy in the hotub. Ease of use for all amenities. Quite a lovely stay.

We have someone onsite 24/7 and are always here to answer questions, solve issues, and help make each traveler's stay memorable.Looking at our notes, we never received a communication regarding your issues, but we have a few notes where it's mentioned your group only wanted to stay one night. We have the same cleaning team we've used for years, and they perform a specific deep cleaning between each stay, carefully following a multi-step cleaning procedure.As a family-owned business, we carefully portray each cabin accurately. The photos taken were taken with no photo editing or unique staging. We also made a special effort to create virtual tours to help ensure that travelers can experience each cabin before booking. Beds, however, are always a challenge. People's expectations of mattresses vary. Thank you again for choosing Nantahala Cabins. We apologize that we are not able to offer one-night stays.We hope your next stay in Nantahala is memorable. We love the area and all it has to offer.

Cabin was well equipped with all necessities, well laid out, hot tub on back deck was a treat each night after a long day. Communications were excellent, all questions answered promptly. Great place to get away.

Nice cabin near the Smokies
Cabin near The Smoky Mountains was very nice! Hot tub on the deck facing the woods was a plus after a day of walking. Would stay there again!

If you are interested in this property, book through their website not a third party like Travelocity. We booked via Travelocity, and the photos that Travelocity had posted did not at all match the cabin we booked. But looking at the Nantahala Cabins website, they are accurate. We were not aware until a confirmation email, that the cabin we selected was "offsite" (6 miles away from the other cabins). It is up a steep unpaved road that many vehicles (and certainly motorcycles) will not be able to navigate. This unit (Silvermine) is truly a cabin in the woods, and comes with the challenges. Plenty of mouse traps in the cabin, but some mouse droppings in the kitchen drawers and on towels in the bathroom. We brought this to the property owners attention and they did send over new towels (we had already removed the drawer and cleaned it). Musty smell as well and almost any clothing we took out of our bags at the cabin had to be laundered due to the musty smell. I would be willing to look again at the cabins on the main property. The owners are very nice and responsive, so I don't want to completly discount their offering.

Thank you for staying with Nantahala Cabins. "Silvermine" is a rental property we manage that is more for those that prefer privacy. As you mentioned, it's not part of our main facility with most of our other cabins. "Silvermine" is for travelers that want to be immersed a little deeper in the wilderness. Wildlife can be an issue from now and then due to its location. We regularly maintain the property and use traditional remedies for mice and other woodland creatures (such as traps). Nantahala is a very ambient and rustic area for travelers that want to escape to all that nature offers. This experience includes fishing, rafting, horseback riding, nights by the fire, and an occasional unexpected "guest" that may show up. The same is true for some roads in Nantahala. We occasionally receive concerns about some of the streets, but it's typically more related to what the visitor is accustom to. Arriving at night can also be a contributor. We would love to have you revisit us in the future. Please call us when you come back, and we will do everything possible to help meet your expectation.

Great cabin in the woods!
Beautiful cabin in the woods! The owners respond to every request. We were in cabin #8, and had a beautiful view of the mountains from the bedrooms windows and from the porch. Kitchen has everything you need, and there is a washer/dryer right in the cabin. Gas fireplace makes the cabin so cozy! The cabin is close to the main road, but you have to get up a steep heel on a gravel road to get to it. It was a bit challenging the first time, but we got used to it. The view was the reward.

Cabins are well maintained and very cozy. Hot tub view is amazing. Location is secluded and peaceful but near many attractions. Owners are great and very accommodating and easy check in and out. Highly recommend if you like cozy cabind with hot tubs, grills and firepits set in beautiful mountain landscape.

The view and hot tub were amazing. It looks a little outdated inside but it's cozy. The drive up to the cabin was well maintained as well. We were lucky to have snow during our stay and we had no problems going down or up the road.

The place is not fancy but very clean and tidy. Perfect for our hiking vacation. The hot tub was awesome for sore muscles! The picture is the view from the front porch.

Mrs. Jeanette is a sweet lady and we had a great time at the cabins. Jacuzzi, grill, and the cabin itself were great. They put a lot of effort in ensuring you have a fun time in the mountains. They make sure to list the local attractions and give you many options like horseback riding for example to do. My family and I will certainly be back at Nantahala cabins in the future!

I loved the cabin and location, but I wasn’t happy about the extra $118 that was required at check in. I thought all payments were taken care of prior to check in. Read the fine print.

A very nice cabin with adequate sleeping room and equipped kitchen. Plenty of towels, sheets,etc. Great view from the cabin. Hot tub feels wonderful! Beautiful area near Nantahala gorge. Steep gravel road up to cabins but if I can do it you can do it! Staff very friendly and conscientious. Grounds and cabins clean. Beds not the most comfortable but slept fine. Would recommend and would return on another visit.

Loved the cabin and the owner was very nice! Only complaint we had was the privacy. We had none. hot tub was right on the front porch for all to see. Otherwise it was a very nice place.

Cabin was nicely decorated, very clean, and spacious. Nice views of the mountains from the deck. Our hot tub was unfortunately broken, which was very disappointing, but the owner tried to get it fixed while we were there. A bit of confusion over nightly rate - Hotels.com charged $250/night and the owner said she only gets $205/night from that...? Cabins are close to wild water rafting and Bryson City

Getaway celebration
The cabins were nicely decorated, but the little touches the staff put in our cabin for our celebration was above and beyond anything we were expecting. They take great pride in their seasonal and holiday decoration. Great attention to detail. Each cabin has a theme and decorated to match the theme. A lot of little details that you would not expect. Great valve for the money. Would definitely recommend this to anyone traveling to the area. Close to Cherokee and surrounding areas, but with lots of privacy.

Great place!! Awesome view (stayed in cabin 2). Close to Bryson City. The kitchen was fully equipped, the bathroom was fully equipped with toiletries, nice size porch with hot tube, and everything was clean and cozy. The only improvement I would suggest would be to improve the beds, they were a bit hard and uncomfortable. The check in and check out process was quick and easy!

Natahala Cabins
We arrived and was taken to our cabin by a gentleman. We had to go up very winding and narrow dirt roads to finally reach the cabin. The gentleman says to us I hope you brought your flashlight because it gets really dark out here. He also said I hope you like the cabin. We went into the cabin and it smelled. It was dirty and the bathrooms and kitchen were very bad. The cabin was so unclean. We are a elderly couple and the road was so steep that me and my husband did not think we would be able to find the cabin again if we decided to go out. We were very disappointed. When we told the owner she said she would not refund any of our money. She had charged us our whole reservation cost plus a cleaning fee. This was a lot of money. She told us we could just leave. She was very rude.

Far better than expected
From pictures of the cabin I saw on the web site, my expectations were low. I walked in and was very pleasantly surprised. The price is great, the owners were very friendly and helpful, and the cabin was awesome. The only complaint I have is very minor in the grand scheme of things--the bed was pretty uncomfortable. I could've slept on the futon if I really wanted, but I wasn't all that picky. Maybe a few extra blankets given the cold weather (the only ones were on the bed). Honestly though, I was hugely impressed and hope to make many return trips.
