-- THE PROPERTY --

Bedroom: Queen Bed | Loft: 1 Twin Pullout Bed

Nestled in the Nantahala National Forest at the end of a winding road lies ‘Heart of the Mountain.’ With no nearby neighbors and views for miles, this private cabin invites you to discover the simplicity and solitude of Smoky Mountain living.

A 2-story wall of windows accentuates the vaulted ceilings in the great room, making the spacious interior even more expansive. Cozy up on the leather sofa set in front of the stacked stone fireplace and flat-screen satellite TV, complete with a mini component audio system, Bluetooth connectivity and a DVD player.

Prepare a tasty treat in the fully equipped kitchen and serve your creation at the classic wood dining table. If barbecue is more your flavor and al fresco dining is more your scene, utilize the gas grill and outdoor seating found on the wraparound deck.

After a day of adventures in Deep Creek National Park, give your sore muscles a break in the hot tub before stargazing around the fire pit.

When the evening chill starts to creep in, retreat inside and take the spiral staircase up to the sleeping loft offering 2 twin pullout beds. A pocket door connects the great room to the bedroom, highlighted by natural wood furnishings, including an artisan headboard and rocker, along with a satellite TV and convenient bathroom access.

Beautiful cabin but difficult road
The Cabin was beautiful, with beautiful views of the mountains. Very quiet at night to sleep. The internet reception is poor, only working when you are on the cabin's porch. Also, the garbage you create has to be disposed of in town; the renter(s) can not access the garbage bin due to wild animals in the area. (We did not witness any wild animals). The road leading up to the cabin is tough to access, and in inclement weather, I believe we would have been stuck at the cabin. A twisting turning road; that was difficult to maneuver on (looked more like a driveway) that was not listed on the rental page. We never tried the road in the dark because of no lights and the difficulty of accessing and maneuvering the road. We could not reach the property managers via phone. Even though beautiful, we will not rent it again.

I surprised my gf with a weekend birthday getaway and it was great! We couldn’t get the fireplace to work but we still had a magical time! The view is nice and the hot tub was perfect, we even got some snow! Definitely worth renting this cute cabin!

Secluded mountain getaway
We loved our stay at this cozy cabin. The cabin was immaculate and the views were beautiful. The pictures represent the house very well - in fact I think it was even nicer than we expected! I would definitely suggest arriving before dark if possible as the road leading to the house is very steep and windy. The firepit was great and the hot tub was a very welcome respite after a long day of hiking. Our only minor issues were that we couldn't get the gas fireplace pilot to light and that we were unable to stream movies at night on the TV as there's no access to Netflix, Prime, etc. The WiFi is spotty but we were able to stream over our laptop. Other than that, everything was perfect and we would love to return.
