Children in roomPosted Aug 8, 2015
When we arrived we were told it was no problem having two adults and 3 children in the room but we would have an expense of $10 per night for a cot. Every day when we had to ask for additional towels, we were asked why would you need 5 towels, you cannot have 5 people in your room. At the end our stay we were charged an upcharge for additional people. I was disappointed that we consistantly had to ask for towels for bathing and for the pool. They made me feel like one of the kids should sleep in the car! I never had any convervations about any additional charge for extra people, they just charged it to my credit card.

Dirty HotelPosted Jul 14, 2015
We were in town for 1 night and stayed at the Comfort Inn Dahlgren. We followed our GPS and couldn't find the hotel because the road sign was for "Quality Hotel" not "Comfort Inn." The room was alright at first glance and the bathroom was clean, but when I went to make coffee in the morning, the package of coffee grounds from the previous guest was still in the coffeemaker and we found a hash brown, also from a previous guest, on the ground next to the bed. Gross. If they can't clean their floor, what else are they not cleaning. When we went to check out, there was no one at the front desk, so we waited around for a bit and still no one, so we just left our keys on the desk and left. I will not be booking here again.

Nice Stop over to rechargePosted Jun 30, 2015
Best price in the area for an overnight eat, sleep and go. Nice variety of food choices near by , mostly fast food. Walmart is close too. Clean with minimal breakfast, the only downside is no elevator for this 2 story hotel.

This was an older hotel but was very clean and comfortable. We have family in town and I would stay here again if visiting.

It is okayPosted May 17, 2015 on Hotels
The breakfast was okay, but in the hallway I often smelled cigarettes. I don't understand why they still allow smoking in some of the units in this hotel. Overall, people here are friendly and helpful.

I had a wonderful time staying at the Choice Hotel in Dahlgren, Va. It is military family friendly. The staff are gracious and accomodatimg. The room was comfy and there's great shopping in the immediate vicinity. The hot breakfast was a nice touch.

Nothing fancy, but clean, quiet, comfortablePosted Feb 17, 2015
Cons: Eggs could be better.
And the most inexpensive in the area. We have one issue re: a curtain that did not fully close and the staff quickly changed the room, checking the new room first to ensure everything worked well.

Cons: Cleaner room.
The room could have been a bit cleaner. The bathroom sink was stained which was a turn off and the bed was a bit rumpled when I got there. I will say they give you great pillows and the mattress and comforter was quite comfortable. The breakfast was nothing special but was nice to have available.
