Nice rooms, breakfast not good value for moneyPosted Sep 25, 2013
Cons: Size of dining room and limited dining options.
Location: Good location and easy access to Chester
Lovely hotel, rooms and garden. Breakfast expensive at £10 per person and just satisfactory in standard. Very small dining room for number of hotel rooms. Many people had to wait a while to get a table in the restaurant for breakfast.

Excellent hotel with friendly helpful staffPosted Jul 11, 2013
Pros: Large room Excellent staff beautiful gardens Newly refurbished Great location
Cons: Only The restaurant requires work and needs to be more consistent. Starters and desserts need attention Wine list is very limited.
Location: Close to Chester with lots of activities and history. Only an hour away from castles in North Wales. Convenient for Manchester and Liverpool.
Nothing is too much trouble for the staff at this delightful country hotel. Only minutes from Chester yet an oasis of tranquility with beautiful gardens. Our room was very spacious and newly refurbished. Great shower and a large bathroom. Restaurant menu is varied but starters and desserts were not up to the standard of the entrees. Overall highly recommended and will stay again.

Value for moneyPosted Apr 1, 2013
Pros: Character, age and aspect
Cons: Decor could do with an update
Location: Stunning - just outside Chester
We had a lovely big room - more of a suite actually. The furnishings and decor had seen better days but the hotel priced it accordingly and if you arent too fussy about stains on the carpet and pretty basic bed linen then the size of the room, aspect and old fashioned feel compensated somewhat. We paid 100 pounds - any more than this and we would have rated lower. The only downsize of Room 1 is that is over the area that tends to be devoted to weddings and is therefore pretty loud. Wouldn't recommend this room on a Saturday night!

Pros: lovely staff
Cons: didn't have any
Location: beautiful grounds, easy access from major roads
We arrived at 8pm and the member of staff who checked us in was genuinely lovely. The staff in the restaurant couldn't have been more helpful even when our 8 month old daughter wasn't quite as easy as she normally is!! Although this hotel is looking a bit tired in places, I felt very relaxed and at home here and would love to come back for a longer stay. Our room was perfect in terms of space and facilities and for once we had a proper bath in the bathroom, such a rare treat these days :)

Absolute beautiful place to relax, in countryside, excellent room, facillities, staff friendly and helpful. This is our 4th visit, and each time has been lovely. Highly recommended. We look forward to many more visits. Well done Crabwall Manor. We love the place and feel so at home there.

Crabwell Manor, shabby without the chic.Posted Sep 11, 2011 on Hotels
This hotel could be outstanding, room sizes are amazing but its tired and stuck in a time warp, the chintz is overpowering and it all needs updating.Carpets in some areas are really dirty with large areas cut out! The bar area was ok, but disorganised, 5 minutes waiting for ice, again for wine list. Bar menu was very limited, and after ordering, told 15 mins later it was not available, took ages to come and burger was virtually inedible.
