Nice executive style HotelPosted Mar 19, 2018
On site parking is limited but we managed to park. The room was a little dated and a number of items in the room were damaged. The bathroom also could have been cleaner. I'd still stay there again though. Basically it's a good hote, but with a bit of spit and polish it could be a great hotel.

Great hotel in the centre of the city.Posted Mar 2, 2018
Cons: Door closures in the quiet zone to prevent door slamming.
Location: Central to the city, river and race course. City wall walk, laying on the river.
Was in a quiet zone but the door closers needs to be adapted to prevent door slamming. Overall very satisfied with my stay. Didn't eat at the hotel but did have a drink in the bar with good views.

Lovely hotel, with exceptional staff.Posted Feb 20, 2018
Pros: Staff and location.
Cons: Toast brought to the table with the tea and coffee instead of having to use the toast machine (which I hate with a passion!)
Location: Fantastic location. Right next door to the main shopping area and a short walk to the cathedral, roman gardens, and the Deva Roman Experience.
Great location. The check-in could not have been better! The lady was very cheerful and pleasant despite the late hour and very helpful, explaining about the car park, breakfast, HGI rewards scheme, club lounge and providing us with a map of Chester. The room was clean and comfortable and a decent size and the bathroom was spotless. The food at the hotel was good and again, the staff were excellent, very knowledgeable and friendly. The location of the hotel is excellent, easy to drive to and literally two minutes walk from the shopping centre and close to the cathedral and the city walls. This is a fantastic base for a visit to Chester and we would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotelPosted Jan 31, 2018
Pros: The pool sauna and steam room were lovely and very clean - the decor of reception/entrance was also beautiful.
Cons: It would be helpful if they put some information in the rooms about house rules, and how to use the facilities and where to go.
Location: Great central location near to many bars, restaurants and shops
This is a lovely hotel and the facilities were nice and clean, however I did feel that the room was a little on the small side for the price we paid and the bathrooms could do with some updating. They left a little gift for us for our anniversary which i thought was great. When we found the pool area there was no one on reception so we were a little confused about where to go and weren't made aware about locker charges but we were ok because it was very quiet so we were able to keep our belongings by the side of the pool. We would have also liked to have some treatments but there was no one around so we weren't able to enquire about this. Overall a nice stay though.

This hotel is very convenient for the old town with shopping, cafes and restaurants nearby. It has good facilities although limited parking.

DisappointedPosted Dec 15, 2017
Pros: Bed was comfortable
Cons: Customer service in the public area. We felt a lack of care towards us as guests.
Location: Location is great and a short walk to the heart of Chester.
the room was dark and had the worst view of a concrete building, despite requesting a view of the welsh hills. We ordered a burger and chips from the hotel bar/restaurant. 50 minutes later it hadn’t arrived even though from 25minutes we were constantly told 5 more minutes. It even took 10 minutes to get a refund to go elsewhere. I was expecting a warm and friendly atmosphere in the Crowne Plaza, it failed to deliver for us.

Two days in ChesterPosted Dec 11, 2017
Pros: The hotel was average.
Cons: Staff in the bar
Location: Great location.
Fire alarm went off, we got no information what had happened. No apology. It was freezing out so not pleasant. The weather spoiled our usually fun trip.
