Staff very helpful, room nice and clean, a bit noisy with traffic from the road, but would stay again. Toilet broke, staff changed room immediately, very good service.

Sleepless in Chesterfield
I booked for 6 days whilst on a course as it was close to the venue and the centre of Chesterfield. I got an excellent price through Hotels.com so initially I was very pleased. The Staff are excellent and were always willing to help. I was allocated a room on the third floor, so after check-in I took the lift to the third floor. As soon as I stepped into the lift it lunged downward slightly and was very un-nerving but that was just the start of the adventure. I never felt safe in that lift. The room I was given had no sockets by the bed so when I had work to do I had to juggle my stuff on a tiny desk area next to the TV until i got an extension lead. The double mattress on the bed I had was worn out so they put a thinner padded thing on top however the bed was still very uncomfortable as were the pillows, they start off feeling comfy but are soon pancaked flat. The tiles in the shower room floor move as you walk over them and the shower is not what I would call a hotel shower, it did get you wet and was warm but lacked in that there is no power behind the flow of the water. The room was only made up once the day before check out so if you want more coffee after the first day you have to ask for it or buy your own and get rid of your takeaway rubbish. I normally find Ibis to be a reliable budget hotel however I will not be staying at this one again. Because of the bed and not getting one good night's sleep, I considered moving to another hotel.

Perfect for football.
Very helpful check in staff, quick and easy. The room was clean and had quite a spacious bathroom. The only downfall was the lack of Sky tv. Would definately use again.

We arrived and there was no sign of our booking on the system.we were given a room in the end, the staff were very helpful and apologetic. After getting our 2 year old daughter to sleep we noticed that our bed had multiple blood stains on the mattress topper. We were unable to tell any staff as we did not want to wake our daughter up. The topper was removed and towels were slept on. The rooms are in dire need of a freshen up but being clean is not difficult and having clean sheets is a basic requirement you should expect at any hotel.

Cheap and still not worth it
Terrible, run down, all windows facing the main road dont close properly so you hear all the road noise. Old showers in need of complete refurb, white plastic basins and showers trays now off white cream colour. After trying 3 rooms i gave up and got some ear plugs

3rd time back!
Good stay 3rd time ive stayed - best breakfast by far well done 👏 stay room 219 but your going to need to investigate the floor think there is a big hole underneath by the shower! As its dropped did mention to lass on reception, also need a need a new cue ball for pool as wrong size lol! Oh and chalk! Top marks to the chef amazing brekki, love the juice gallon tank to fill up, great hotel will be back soon! Just shame about that bloody roundabout with traffic noise at night

The room smelled like cigarettes and you could hear the road. I was charged at the front desk when I’d already paid online and had to sort it out in the morning. The room wasn’t very clean and didn’t seem up to the standard of other Ibis hotels I’ve stayed in before. The front desk was helpful in the morning.

Nice budget hotel
This hotel offers great value for money. It is what you would expect for the price so don't expect any luxuries. But the staff were friendly, the bed was comfortable and the shower was hot! I would definitely stay again.

The hotel was convenient to the station and centrally located so we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. We were able to check in early and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The price was great too.
