Close to all.Posted Feb 18, 2018
Nice hotel close to old town and many restaurants and massage places. We had an older room and the air conditioner leaked. Room was big. Would stay there again. Great restaurant on site.

Perfect location for old city and for night marketPosted Jan 7, 2018
We loved this hotel! Every single member of staff from reception to cleaners greeted us and was charming. The icing on the cake was the free New Year s Eve buffet and entertainment for all the residents! Such a generous gesture and we extended our stay here. We booked a cheaper room but they gave us an upgrade! Restaurants are close by and so are temples and lovely strolls in the narrow lanes that cross cross the old town. Will definitely return!

Old hotel in need of renovation.Posted Jan 6, 2018
Pros: The staff, like most of the hotel staff in Thailand were very nice and did their best to be accommodating with the limited resources they had.
Cons: This hotel is located on the "bad" part of Loi Kroh road. If you are looking for a more convenient location try a hotel opposite end of Loi Kroh road.
Location: Bars, restaurants.
Very disappointed in this hotel, especially given the 4 star rating. I paid for a Grand Deluxe Double Room (my room number 615) was very, very small. It was so small that it was impossible to walk behind someone at the writing desk unless they got up and pushed their chair in. No dresser for your clothes, only an small closet. Space is at a real premium. Bed was old, massive, uncomfortable and squeaky. Internet was out of commission often. Very small refrigerator with no freezer. There are no ice machines in the hotel and if you paid room service to bring you a bucket of ice it melted quickly as there was no way to keep ice cold. No iron or ironing board. No bedside clock. Old bathroom fixtures. Water temperature and pressure in the shower fluctuated often. Almost no room on bathroom counter to put toiletries. No blind or curtain in the bathroom window and the sun shining through in the morning made it impossible to see. The bathroom had both a toilet and a urinal, I have never seen a urinal in a hotel bathroom before. The bathroom smelled of mold and urine. My deluxe view consisted of the trash littered rooftop of the restaurant next door. Buffet was awful; hot food was room temperature and tasted like the Sterno they used to keep it "hot". Paper thin walls and noise from the motorcycles was noticeable almost the entire stay. Pool isn't located in the same building as the hotel, you need to walk a back alley with a lot of traffic to access the pool.

Great LocationPosted Jan 6, 2018
The Raminglodge was a perfect location for our Chiang Mai trip. It was very close to the gate, with lots of options to eat/drink/party on our street. We had a Junior Suite, which was like a small apartment. I liked having an extra living room space, makeup mirror and large bathroom. It is better than the normal one room hotels you usually stay at. The front travel desk is very helpful and helped us book 2 of our trips. Only thing is after returning home, we got a fee for having them help us book these trips (only $7 but would have been nice if we knew first). Overall, the hotel isn't anything luxury, but who hangs out inside a hotel room all day when you are on a trip to Chiang Mai. :)

Chiang Mai SafariPosted Dec 5, 2017
Like most hotels in this price range it could use a coat of new paint. The decor has an old world feel which I found quite charming. I enjoyed the safari theme of the place. The restaurant has the best burgers in Chiang Mai! staff are always helpful and welcoming. The hot water in the the bathroom is a bit of hit or miss but the occasional lukewarm shower was refreshing:)
