Pillow cases smell oily. They probably need to change all pillow cases to new cos new ones also have a bit of oil hair smell. other than that the place is decent, clean & tidy.

Pros: Friendliness and helpfulness of staff
Cons: Choice of breakfast and better explanation of options available, i.e. We were not aware that omelettes were available upon request.
Location: Walking distance to local Wats and the old city
Staff are friendly and soon get to recognise you. Breakfast choice was a bit limited, but can't complain for the price we paid.

Unique and historical

Pros: the style, friendly staff, and the location
The whole experience was amazing however the last night our room experienced some electrical technical issues causing the AC and power to turn on and off continuously overnight every 2-3 minutes, the AC woke me up every 2-3 minutes. This made our last night of sleep very intermittent but that was our only issue throughout our stay. The rest of our stay was close to perfect.

Nice place to stay in Chiang Mai.

Pros: The quietness and location.
Cons: Service at the restaurant
Location: The hotel is located in the inner moat area of Chiang Mai and provides a nightly shuttle to the Night Bazaar, which is worth visiting.
Arrived in the morning. Check-in was quick and the staff helpful with questions. Plenty of information was provided on things to see and do in the area. Room was spacious and clean and the prices for the mini bar and laundry services were reasonable. The hotel is located in the inner moat area of Chiang Mai and the temples and most other sights in the inner moat area are within walking distance.

Great place to stay in a more traditional Thai style with western facilities. Air conditioning was great after a hot day out. Staff bent over backwards to help hotel guests. Only negative was booking a shuttle that didn't show up until we called the hotel. It's much cheaper to get a taxi or tuk tuk than a shuttle. They could also do with replacing the robes, they are a little worn.

Lovely hotel with nice amenities

Pros: Lovely room and tub to soak in
Cons: restaurant
Location: Inside whats left of city walls.
Good location in town, easy walking to several temples and to the moat that surrounds town. There is a sunday night market that the hotel provides a shuttle to. On your own to get home, but plenty of tuktuks. I actually walked in easily. Only drawback was the restaurant. I had dinner there and it was poor. Spring rolls were rubbery and seemed to have been made much earlier in the day. Pad thai was fair. Otherwise a very pleasant stay.
