Great location 40 minutes away from crowded Tokyo

Posted Apr 14, 2016
Pros: Hotel staff all knew some English an. Everything from the lobby to the rooms is updated, clean, and relatively quiet, but the metal doors can get loud
Location: Great cheap ramen shops near Soga station. Sakura trees located down a quiet street and small park. Everything else is suburban housing and schools
If you don't want to stay in the city and would rather be greeted with a quieter, more suburban location, go here! Set up mostly for small party guests like couples and students. The Soga station is located literally down the street, so you wouldn't have to walk far to get to hotel. Just hop on the Soga line from Tokyo and it's about 40 minutes of a ride away from the busiest side of Tokyo. Disney Sea is right along the same Soga line too, if you plan to go to that place but don't want to stay too close to it. The hotel is updated with card keys to get up to the rooms from the elevators. And the view from the top floors isn't too bad. You can even see some of the local Sakura trees in the distance; they are all within walking distance near a small park. Not much shopping around the area, but good food and a corner store make it cozy.

The buffet breakfast was the same the whole time. The reception desk speaks very little English but really willing to help.

Good Budget Hotel close to train

Posted Aug 11, 2014 on Hotels
I stayed in many hotels over 9 weeks in Japan during the hot summer. This was a basic budget. The best A/C by far. Not much to do nearby, but you are within 30 minutes of Tokyo by train. Arashi Restaurant in front of train station serves great ramen etc. food.

This hotel is in a good location for Chiba. The staff are polite and professional. The breakfast is a wonderful Japanese meal with natto. Very good quality for the price, and exceeds all expectations. Even free laundry machines.

Train station proximity is the best thing about it

Posted Apr 25, 2014
We stayed here because all places closer to Tokyo central were booked (no idea why). As a last resort it was a fine hotel. Close to the station (JR LINE) which resulted in a 45 minute trip to Tokyo. The hotel has been renamed (cannot remember it now) which made it very difficult to find! The hotel smelled strange and there were strange noises throughout the day and night. Bathroom was quite dirty. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
