Close to everything

First of all, thanks to the best western staff for allowing me to check in early in the morning after taking a red eye flight from Los Angeles. The staff was friendly and seemed knowledgeable about Chicago. The room was okay, for me to just sleep in. I would recommend you ask for a microwave to heat your delicious left overs from Portillos which is a block away. Thanks for holding on to my luggage after checking out from the hotel to keep sight seeing

Rip off

This Hotel was a rip off in my opinion. They charge you parking when you get there it doesn't say anything about that on the website or we would have went elsewhere. Didn't get much sleep lots of noise coming from other rooms and people in the hallway. In the morning there were to employees who were painting at 8am and were very loud.

Foul odor like something was burning woke me up at 2AM. Lumpy pillows kept me from falling asleep for hours. Fitness center is very weak.

Insulation is terrible so that I can't fall asleep for the whole night.

Nice hotel and friendly staff

The staff was friendly and helpful. It was a close walking distance to The Magnificent Mile and by many restaurants.

Chicago trip close to Michigan Ave.

Pros: Close to all the things we wanted to do.
Cons: Not much you can do about sound-proofing.
The hotel's location was very convenient for what we wanted to do. The room was clean and the staff was helpful. The only complaint is that the walls were extremely thin, so you could hear everything from the neighbors to either side, as well as the room above.

Great Hotel for the Price!

The hotel was overall pretty good. We did discover what appeared to be a coffee stain on our blanket but it wasn't terribly noticeable. It just bothered my boyfriend for a little while because of his OCD. The walls were a little thin between rooms. I could hear someone dropping a toilet seat and talking in the next room. It wasn't so bad that I could understand anything that was said but this may be an issue for some people. Luckily we had the room at the end of the hall so we only heard things from one room and the room seemed to be empty most of the time. Overall it was well worth the $85 I paid (total after an expedia coupon) for a king size bed, a short walk to the bus stop, and a short walk to Dave and Busters. It was also fairly close to magnificent mile and portillo's/ Hard Rock Cafe were right out front behind McDonald's and the Rainforest Cafe.

Affordable hotel, great location

Hotel was in a great location north of the river, not far from the subway, Hard Rock Cafe, Rainforest Cafe and others. There is even a pizza place in the same building. Parking fee was far less than other nearby hotels. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. WiFi worked well. Would definitely stay here again.
