Needs updating

Rooms need to be updated. Only things free are Wifi and parking. No complimentary breakfast. Also ice machine in lobby, which is a building at the front of the property. You would have to walk or drive to get ice if you are in the buildings in the back of the property.

Wouldn't Go back

Old, loud mini fridge woke me up every 10 minutes the first night. Thought I was booking the hotel next door.

Happy w/ my stay

Great location. Near the pier and aquarium. Short walk to shops and restaurants in Hyde park area. Room was average. Staff was friendly and super helpful.

Convenient, close to the University

Pros: Checking in was quick and efficient, and the rooms are easy to find.
Location: It's close to the University of Chicago, and there are a lot of restaurants and shops along 53rd Street.
I stayed here overnight because I had to go to the University of Chicago on the following day. It's a nice, cheap hotel just minutes away from the University by car. The parking is also free, which is a huge plus for me.

Inconsitency

significant inconsistency in services and information regarding stay. Inconsistent notifications on several issues such as checkout time, cost, change of linens and cleaning.
